   Booked in for my 2 months old sons circumcision. After signing everything i was told its cash only and the dr takes the baby alone. No parents allowed in. With all those 1 star reviews i would never allow that to happen. To top it off the dr said we are QCC blah blah and not allowed. I just rang another centre which is also QCC and they said 1 parent is allowed in. This dr at bakersfield is scared to make a mistake on the operation while parents watch thats why he prefers to operate on babies alone where he can do whatever he likes without being seen. I cant believe in 2025 such evil drs still exist. Dont waste your time and money. Even the receptionists have 0 proffessionalism. All they care about is cash cash cash. Even after begging the dr to come in with him he started getting angry and shouting get out. He is a funny little man making £1000 per hour (in cash) all day everyday

   My family have been with this practice for decades and have always been entirely satisfied with our ability to speak to and/or be examined by a doctor, the care and concern shown by the staff, the courteous reception staff and the excellent phlebotomist. Given many people’s experience of of their local GP practice we count ourselves very fortunate to be looked after by Dr Mehat and his team.

   Spoke to dr neehat about my mental health, i was born prematurely, with low birth weight, diagnosed with depression at age 16, explained this to him and said i believe my symptoms are more in line with ADHD, he laughter and said everyone has it because of media! He said if i think i have it i might as-well say that i do because im 32 and there is no point getting diagnosed and there is no medication to help me and asked what medication i want to go on. Never been mire hurt in my life, after building up the courage to speak to someone and be laughed at has out me back into a deep dark hole where i have been all my life

   We have been with this practice for decades and - particularly given the horror stories we hear about access to other GPs and lack of patient care - we have always been more than satisfied with the service and care we’ve received. Recently we’ve had cause to call and visit the surgery more frequently. This has entailed contact with the reception, the phlebotomist and two separate doctors. Each element has shown exceptional courtesy, treatment and genuine care. Even after I was referred to the hospital and so was under their care, my GP helped speed up the appointment process by contacting the consultant outlining his concerns which resulted in a much earlier hospital appointment and a pathway to better health. My GP further contacted me on at least two occasions by phone to discuss my progress with me. So for us it’s well done Bakersfield Medical Practice. We feel very lucky to have you.

   Dr meehat is the worst doctor. I went about my mental health and he said your family will help you and I don’t need counselling. He refused to refer me for counselling. I also went about contraception and he refused to give me anything else other than the pill even though I have taken this previously and experienced bad side effects. I don’t know how he has been given his job back when he was arrested for circumcising a baby without the parents permission. If I could I would give zero stars.

   Dr Balvinder Singh Mehat is worst Dr i have ever seen . No respect for patients. Even very rude behaviour towards kids as well. racist man. Always taunting.

   Dr BAL MEHAT! Possibly the worst doctor you will ever meet in your life. Rude arrogant. Shouts down the phone at you. Puts everything down to anxiety. Google his name and it will tell you everything you need to no about the pice of s!!!t. The reception staff are beyond rude. I wouldn’t even rate it a 1* on the other hand DR SHARON is lovely. It’s hard to ever get to see her as everyone wants to see her. Avoid doctor mehat at all cost! Prescribed me zoplicone sleeping tablets for 3 years and now I’m addicted to them. Your not suppose to have them longer than 2 weeks!! Stay away from this practice. GOOGLE HIM

   I would like to say thanks for all the receptionist, nurses and doctors. For all the care that my mum (Mrs Joyce Ross) has received over this last week.    Very rude practice manager. She was taking calls & was very rude & abrupt in her manner from the start of the conversation making assumptions & then continued to say 'you are not just speaking to a normal receptionist I am the practice manager!' As I was adamant in what i wanted, she put the phone down on me! No wonder the surgery doesn't have many high recommendations, probably the practice manager pushing her targets. Dr Sharon is a really caring & sympathetic doctor who listens, with Dr Mehat however, it feels like he just wants to finish the consultation quickly & get rid you. I have been very disappointed in general with this surgery & will be moving else where.
