   I was recommended this by someone in speaking to in Padstow on my holidays this year. I was told this was the best place for whisky in the entire south west, they are right! Fantastic selection, bought myself a bottle and I'm going to have to pop back tomorrow to grab another if it's still there because I can't go back up to Newcastle without another trip to this shop. Staff very friendly and polite, parking is tight around the area and the roads around the village are very Cornish single lanes but it's well worth a visit.

   Found this company while looking for a specific wine as a gift for a friend who had it at a pre-Christmas dinner we went to. Didn't think I had any hope of getting it in time for Christmas (only a week before) BUT they came through brilliantly and he LOVED it especially as he had also tried to track it down after failing to persuade the restaurant to sell him some.    Such a shame. This shop has a wider selection of wine and spirits than most other places in the county. The problem is that this comes with a service which is intensely rude and belligerent. This isn't in reference to the people who work at the tills, who I've generally found friendly and genial. I mean the specialists at the back of the shop who behave as though the customer is always wrong, an inconvenience, or tersely correct you on facts about drinks (which CAN be done by vendors, but needs a degree of tact not to alienate buyers). I can attest to other bad reviews which talk about being asked to leave in the minutes before their lunch break. It is as though paying customers are an unpleasant imposition here, and this is what I tend to feel like going into the shop. I want to like Constantine Stores because what they stock is very unusual, particularly in the area. But anyone selling anything has to be pleasant to their patrons. The replies to negative reviews which tend to argue back at customers is further evidence of this problem. If they were to resolve this issue, I wouldn't hesitate to give the shop five stars.

   An amazing store. What starts out from the front as just a standard convenience store, goes further back into a drinks tardis. It's not massive, but, it does have a great selection. Parking is tricky as there's only 2-3 spaces out the front, however. . You can park down the main road but remember to put your wing mirrors in when parked, as the road is tight , and the neighbours may come out and ask you to do so ... !!

   Fantastic drinks selection,shame the biscuits are nearly three months out of date. The owner has since offered to replace the biscuits, unfortunately they did not last that long, still tasted good too.
