Centre tells us to call at 8am- i’ve been calling for 30 minutes. I don’t even get placed in a queue, just get hung up on by the generated message. This happens every time me or anyone in my family calls. Usually by the time anyone can get through, all appointments are gone for the day. What a shocking system.
This is an unsolicited review for both West Park Surgery at both Midland St and the Park View Surgery. Over the past two weeks I have had blood tests, a diabetic review,a medicine review and a GP appointment. At all stages the reception staff have been brilliant. I have sat in the waiting area watching them deal with a mixture of patients both polite and otherwise. They have acted with patience,understanding and in an extremely professional manner. Alison,my diabetic expert is superb. Always very friendly,very caring,very understanding, very helpful,very patient and very professional. Alison's help and advice is very,very helpful. My consultation with Harry ,the pharmacy expert was brilliant. He also showed understanding, patience,acted with a caring manner. His advice and recommendations were great. I felt I had been listened to with great understanding,patience and professional attitudes. Finally I saw DR Goddard,at the Park View site. A young man,friendly,understanding, with a great deal of patience. Very kind and very professional. We discussed several matters. He advised and took up several courses of presen and future actions. I felt that I had been listened to and afterwards felt that I had been treated with great respect. Felt we had reached great decisions. The NHS,particularly Surgery support is massively underfunded. Those working in that stressful environment, nurses,doctors,reception staff,clinical nurses,pharmacy experts,deserve our support. Please give it. Mick Wells
Its ridiculously hard to get an appointment here now. You cant get through, line is busy from 08:00 till around 08:25, if you do get through you get is an automated message, saying all our handlers are busy with other calls, please hang up and try again. What is that supposed to help with, open a waiting list or something. Useless and frustrating automated message. Then when you speak to a person, your politely told all the appointments are filled for the day, and to try again tomorrow. Something has to give eventually.
They sent me somebody else’s details via sms, I’ve tried ringing and pressing every available option and the phone line goes dead, unacceptable!!!
I have been a patient for over 2 years now and find this practice to be the best for supporting for me with my mental health. I find I am blessed with having such a great doctor with Dr Fogarty. She fully understands how difficult things can be with me and treats me accordingly. The same with other doctors in the practice too. All the staff, including reception, always get me the help I need and although sometimes their are hiccups with my medication they always sort things out. Apparently they have merged with another practice but so far this hasn't changed things and I am more than happy to use them as my GP's. Thank you to everyone.
Myself and my partner recently moved to long Eaton, unfortunately my partner needed URGENT mental health treatment and support. Elaine from reception was AMAZING, I went in to the surgery before 9pm she registered my husband assessed the situation very quickly and got us the right medical support ASAP! Dr Fellows triaged my husband an hour after me visiting the surgery and then asked to see him face to face in the space of the morning we had all the help we needed. He quickly got in touch with the crisis team, who I can confirm acted very quickly. A huge thank you to the medical practice especially Elaine & Dr Fellow, thank you so much for getting us the right help we needed.
I have been with this surgery 9 years. Always greeted pleasantly and politely by the admins. Dr Fogarty is so personable and professional. Always has time to listen and is very compassionate. The best GP i have had the pleasure of seeing. She sets the bar very high and I hope she never leaves.
