   Place is a joke, staff have no compassion, 19 year old girls been slapped around the face by male nurses, no actives unless cqc are around, staff screaming at patients doctors tell staff to go away, never let you have any leave because they are under staffed, rooms are so hot you can’t sleep night staff sitting around laughing and joking whilst patients are having breakdowns

   This hospital is absolutely shocking ! And that isn’t even the right word ! My dad is in the priory as a transfer from our local mental health hostpital as they had no beds currently , our NHS is paying for the Priory’s service and it is appalling ! Cold shower's (boiler has broken) No forks to eat food with No compassion Can’t see his family Couldn’t have a coffee till 3pm as had no milk Had 2 sausages all day food is shocking The list could go on … Best of all when you ring to make a complaint no body answers! And my dad has whatched the staff with his own eyes sitting on there phones while people are ringing and ignoring the phone going off. Me and my family are extremely distressed as since my dad has gone into this “private lovely hostpital” he has gotten so much worse. Words can’t describe how bad this place is and if your reading this and one of your loved ones are going into the Priory please take it from me as a daughter avoid it as much as you can and I do hope if your going through the same as me and my family I send you nothing but love ❤️ But as for the staff and management of this place I hope you never have to feel the worry and concern like I have for my dad right now. Disgusting place !

   Credit where it is due. I received life changing treatment from the most caring and compassionate individuals. They genuinely care for your wellbeing whilst you undertake a therapeutic journey in a safe and encouraging environment.

   Gave me 2 weeks to get medicated get stable and reduce and come off the medication. Cannot be done! That's why all Lincolnshire funded patients fail. All other patients from other counties had 5 week minimum. Ridiculous outrage. It was a while ago I was there.. iv been twice fair few years between..,same experience. No tenderness no TLC no compassion. Just a job n paycheck feel.

   This place is like prison. There are a handful of food staff but the majority are cold and don’t care about your needs. They wake you up consistently about 2/3am and no one cares if you cry. The best you came expect is a shhh you’re disturbing other patients. Plus it’s super triggering as you are surrounded by others who are self harming and trying to end their life. Wouldn’t wish this place on my worst enemy. They don’t even have any tissues.

   The Nottingham Priory is unlike most other Priories in that it deals only with drugs and alcohol problems which is in my view a real advantage. Most other priory hospitals treat psychiatric conditions too. The 12-Step programme is not religious, or at least it is not meant to be. Unfortunately it gets taken over by overly zealous people and it can appear sinister. The facts are though that it is one of the most successful methodologies available. The only way to research what would suit you, other than visiting loads of clinics is to use a professional online referral agency such as Admit Services or WayAhead Rehab. Neither charges for their independent advice. Never pay a referral agency; you pay the clinic. But finding an ideal clinic is likely to be impossible. The Nottingham Priory suits a lot of people and there is little choice in Nottingham.
