   Great communication and easy system with detailed app to set up your pet’s needs and requirements. Kirst was simply fantastic caring for our kittens. Updates, photos & videos after every visit gave peace of mind to know that they were happy and stimulated. Highly recommended.

   We chose First for Pets to look after our two cats, Bruce and Ralph, whilst we went on holiday. Andrea was terrific; she came around for a visit before we went away to meet the cats and understand their routines. Andrea was so trustworthy that we actually asked her to move into our home for the week. We were sent lovely photos of “the boys” every day that we were away and a comprehensive diary so we knew that all was well at home. We were able to relax safe in the knowledge that our cats and our house were in very capable hands. We would recommend Andrea and First for Pets without reservation. Lee & Alison Marvin

   Have used First For Pets now on numerous trips away, its so much better than putting them into a cattery, no stressful car journeys, they can stay at home in their own environment and they love their catsitter Kirsty who sends lovely updates and photos so I can see they are being well taken care of and happy. You get put into a WhatsApp chat and receive an in-depth update and photos after every visit so you really have peace of mind they are OK. After a not so great experience with a previous cat sitter it is a relief to have found a lovely local service like First For Pets. Highly recommend ❤️

   We were due to go away on holiday in Devon earlier this year of 2025 when we suddenly realised that our usual arrangements of utilising friends, neighbours and close family wasn't going to happen! Fortunately I hit on the idea of contacting our regular vets practice who recommended First For Pets. Well from the very start Donna set everything in motion and within a few days everything was set in place! We were introduced to the lovely Andrea who was absolutely brilliant and was so obviously experienced and so caring. Everything was fully explained and put into place and we found ourselves left fully confident that we had made a good decision in our choice. Whilst away on holiday we found that the regular postings and photos on the WhatsApp site set up specially for us of her visits became the highlight of the holiday and it became clear that our cats were also enjoying her visits. Daughter was also included into the group who was mightily impressed! The photos were so good that we regularly open them up to show our family and friends the holiday high spots! What an excellent service and so well done which left us fully satisfied and confident that we will continue to use again.

   I can not find any fault with these amazing people. The daily updates and reassurance that my little Tori is being well cared for and is very happy staying in her own home is honestly the best feeling. I never worry that something will be missed and if anything ever did go wrong I know it would be told to me immediately and dealt with as best as possible until I could return. You can tell the individuals,in our case the amazing Andrea, actually care and enjoy spending time with your pet. The amount of love and care put into each visit is obvious and how happy our lovely Tori is when we return just shows the fact that having a cat sitter instead of a cattery is the best decision and I'm really glad we found First For Pets as they are simply fantastic. As the photos show one very happy little girl with her friend visiting daily

   First for Pets are excellent! They are the first place I would go to if I need any support with my animals. They looked after my 8 cats when I was on holiday and sent me photos and updates and took great care of them. recently they look one of my foster dogs to rehab in Dorset for me. The service is always excellent and more importantly, they love our animals and take excellent care of them every time! Absolutely wonderful! Thanks so much guys

   I honestly cannot rate Donna and first for pets highly enough. For anyone looking for a professional and reliable service, as well as someone who will really love your pets look no further! Donna took on the mammoth task of looking after my two dogs, tortoise and hedgehog whilst I was away for three weeks on my honeymoon. She came to meet everyone beforehand, and built a relationship with the dogs who can be really nervous of strangers at first. This made me feel so at ease seeing how professional and trustworthy Donna was. She kept me regularly updated with how everyone was doing and made me feel so comfortable knowing that my house and pets were being so well cared for! On our return, the house was absolutely spotless (which is no easy task!!) and we just found the entire experience fantastic. Knowing how wonderful Donna and First for Pets are makes me feel happier about planning future trips away.

   We have used First For Pets a couple of times now to feed our cat whilst we have been away on holiday and I couldn't recommend them more. From the initial phone call with Donna we were instantly put at ease. They are so friendly and easy to talk to and professional and helpful. We get a message and photos or videos every day telling us and showing us that all is well. They genuinely care for the cat and make sure he gets lots of fuss, love and play time. And they do so much more than look after the cat, they look after your house and garden too -water plants, sort the post, put the bins out, open/close curtains, anything that's asked. They provide a wonderful, reassuring and friendly service.
