   NOT QUEERSAFE at Bar Bar Told security I was being harassed because I’m visibly gay (I dress bright, I’m flamboyant, it’s not hard to miss). I’d moved from the bar to the dance floor with my two friends, hand in hand, while I followed just behind. A group of lads let them through without issue but kept physically shoving me back — hand to chest, pushing me away like I didn’t belong. When I reported this to the bouncer, he brushed me off and told me to “stay back.” In other words: stay away from my own friends. I explained that while the lads hadn’t yelled slurs, it was clearly homophobia driving the whole thing. His response? Just “ignore it.” Later, in the smoking area, I ran into another friend who went back in with me. Without my knowledge, she swilled the guy who’d been targeting me. He immediately turned his aggression on me, and I ended up in a scrap I never wanted — leaving with a full-on black eye that wrecked my week. All because some insecure homophobe needed to flex his fragile ego, while security stood by and did nothing. Queer people deserve to feel safe in nightlife spaces — not shoved aside, ignored, and left to fend for themselves. If a bar can’t guarantee that, then it doesn’t deserve our custom, our trust, or our community

   My daughter slipped going up the steps inside the pub whilst carrying her drink she actually hurt herself they didn't care or asked if she was ok and then wanted her to pay for a replacement drink

   My friend who suffers from seizures came here a few weeks ago (wasn’t the first time) and the bouncer who was unfortunately at the main entrance decided to not let my friend in due to her having a citizen card rather than a provisional/ passport. She told him that he was able to scan it to prove that it was a real and not fake however he was adamant he wasn’t going to do it and shooed her and her friend away. Disgusting behaviour should not be singling people out for not having a certain type of id! It was one of her favourite bars to come too but now it has certainly put her off and won’t be returning.

   Always enjoy a night in Baa Bar - good mix of bar and club vibes. Staff are also absolute stars, and recovered a watch with massive sentimental value after I lost it one Friday. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

   Brilliant place to spend a night out. Always has a diverse crowd of people of all ages and backgrounds. Staff are absolutely amazingly friendly. Security are lovely and have always made me feel safe and welcome, are always sure to deal with an issue in a respectful way when needed.

   As a woman I’ve never experienced a more welcoming environment and I have been to baa bar on many occasions, the bouncers told me to let them know if anything inappropriate happens and they will sort it which made me feel super safe! Nicest people ever and the staff are all lovely and kind! I would definitely recommend going to baa bar especially for the shots and the environment ☺️

   Awful. Women DO NOT GO HERE. I was asked to leave for no reason at all (male friends pulling pranks) but I was the only one singled out. Was stood outside, not falling down drunk and they kicked me out. Bouncers are a***holes. Do not trust. Do not give them your money.

   We arrived just after opening and had the bar to ourselves the whole time. Suited us great for a casual drink and it gave us time to just enjoy different shooters and chat to the barman. Every single drink was tasty, we especially enjoyed the festive themed specials. Thanks!
