After this review I was recommended by Wattbike to have a service on my Wattbike . I paid £198 for this and was advised I would get an appointment in 3 working days . Over a week later nothing despite emailing and asking for an update. Yet more AI generated responses with no update. How can a company get this so wrong …. I have asked for the service cost to be refunded. Guess what ? No response…. This issue started over 1 month ago . I am writing this review as a long-time, loyal customer and second-time Wattbike owner who has been left completely stranded by your support system. Product Performance & Issue I have owned my current Wattbike for 3–4 years, and until recently, it has been faultless—a truly fantastic piece of kit. After a few months off for an operation recovery, I recently attempted to use the bike, but the electronic gears will not connect via Bluetooth. They connect for a moment, then instantly disconnect. This issue makes the trainer completely unusable. Unacceptable Support Experience (9+ Days) Despite the quality of the hardware, the customer support experience has been unacceptable and has severely damaged my faith in the brand: • Total Contacts: I have contacted Wattbike support six (6) times regarding this critical issue. • Response: Every single communication has resulted in an automated, AI-generated response. • Status: The issue is now over nine (9) days old, and I have received zero personalized human response or technical assistance. I am stuck in a frustrating loop of chasing a resolution that never arrives. Call to Action I request immediate escalation of this matter. I require a direct, human response from a Senior Technical Support agent within 24 hours to troubleshoot and resolve this Bluetooth failure. Failure to resolve this critical hardware issue, or continued reliance on automated responses, will result in me taking my business to a competitor for my next smart trainer purchase. It is a genuine shame that such a high-quality product is let down so badly by its customer service.

The most shambolic and disorganized company I've ever dealt with. In less than two years of ownership, I had to return the product twice, request one service call, and make multiple technical calls. The last time it was returned damaged, and although the service manager promised a grade A replacement that he would personally check and ensure my satisfaction, he went on holiday and left me in the lurch for several weeks. The final straw was the tested grade A bike only working for several minutes. I've received multiple unfulfilled promises of callbacks, and emails have gone unanswered for days. I don't have enough time to detail the entire fiasco. Ultimately, I demanded a full refund and bought a WAHOO KICKR bike, which is far superior and likely what I should have done from the start.

Really disappointing! I’ve never had some many problems with a Indoor trainer, the app is terrible I have to reset my password every week an sometimes the app decides to close mid way through a session. I’ve links my Wattbike app with strava yet no matter what I do it never sends to file over an to top it all of the seat clamp broke after less that a year old. An there the communication with Wattbike I think it’s goes via the moon an then through 10 different languages before finally you get a response. Poor form.

I wanted to buy a watt bike today (needed a bike trainer for a birthday in two days) and rang up to see if I could purchase one only to be told they weren’t willing to open the store at any point today (Friday) for me for five minutes to buy one as they are all working from home?! - I’m now going to have to go out today/tomorrow to buy a more expensive competitor, when I would have much rather purchase a wattbike!

Wattbike Atom X: Experienced serious reliability issues with the AtomX, had the bike for more than 7 months now, bike has been usable for only a fraction of that time. First there was a faulty circuit board - bike was replaced. Then faulty gear controls, then faulty app update. The recent app update fixed the issues, except the gears. Tech attended onsite today and gears are working, the bike currently works as it should. The experience still feels more like participation in a prototype development than ownership of a flagship indoor bike. Given the price of the AtomX that's a bit frustrating. But on the upside I have to say that customer service is excellent, Australia is remote, but Wattbike do try their best and that makes a big difference. 4 stars for that.

Simply love it. Great experience collecting from Nottingham warehouse, worth the trip to chat to the guys there. Really easy to set up (tri bars and pedals and plug it in!). Never thought I would get hooked on working out alone, but love it in my refurbed garage! Cup of tea brought to me half way by the misses, radio blaring out and not disturbing anyone, great challenges/work-outs/climbs on the WattBike app (no need for a subscription) - simply couldn’t ask for more (well maybe my data could be better, but the plan is the WattBike will deliver that…..!!)

Great piece of kit, but a struggle at first, why?.... I upgraded from a Bkool Pro Trainer where you put your bike on the unit, this works great and obviously has the right 'feel' and you change gears with the bike. However with the New Wattbike Atom, the resistance is a lot harder, and the gears are electric switches that don't always react quickly (although I suspect this could be the trainer software NOT the wattbike). You can actually set the resistance on Zwift, Rouvy, Bkool etc to make it easier, just set resistance at 80% or 90% (or make yourself 3 stone lighter), but you can't always do the challenges if you've set the resistance lower. However I now have legs like Clark Kent (lol), I AM over a stone lighter (in 2 months) and I'm loving the Wattbike. Just get one and save a fortune on the going to the gym.
