First encounter dealing with Ideal Homes Estate Agents in Torpoint. I’ve found that first interaction incredibly unprofessional. I made an offer on a property and was informed it might be a while before they contact me as the vender is difficult to liaise with. The next time I logged on to view the properties I’m interested in I see the house is sold STC. No contact was made to me with regard to accepting, declining or increasing my offer. Hopefully I won’t have to deal with this company in the future.

Looking at the previous five star reviews my experience with Ideal Homes, Torpoint, appears to be a temporary aberration rather than the norm, but I feel so frustrated by the way I was hoodwinked and sidelined, I feel compelled to be candid about my encounter with them. After agreeing to a "chain free, cash sale" back in March, I waited three months only to be told that someone had pulled out of the "chain". I discovered there were actually four in the chain but the agency kept this to itself because it sought to benefit from all four transactions. It was handling every sale in the chain! I would never have opted for this buyer when there were better options on the table. OK, they found another buyer at the bottom of the chain but I was advised to drop my sale price by £25K in order to secure the purchase. Seven months later and somewhat poorer and furious with their reluctance to freely communicate with me, the sale is now complete. This sale was manipulated solely for the agency's pecuniary advantage.
We contacted the Ideal Homes office to discuss putting our house on the market and the service from this point on was amazing. From the first visit by Craig to take pictures and discuss description, to the professional and high number of viewings delivered by Claire and Tean it was an amazing service. Once sold the speed at which Stu got the paperwork out and Claire then continued the service chasing the solicitors to get the paperwork done. Thank you to the whole team for making the whole process so easy. We can't recommend you enough and it's great that even though you are so busy the personal touch for your customers is still so high on your priority list.
I have never felt the need to right a review before but on this occasion I felt I needed too to voice how happy I was with all the service I received. We had 5 star service and treatment all the way through the sale of our house, with constant communication through out the whole process, Buying and selling houses can be a very stressful time but the whole team at Ideal Homes took that stress and hassle away, I have already recommend these guys to two of my family members both looking to sell, both very high end expensive properties which were already on the market for a lengthy time with other agents having no success, Stuart sold both these in no time, I really couldn't recommend the whole team enough. Would 100% use them again in the future and 5 stars inst enough Thanks again
I had never envisaged writing a positive review about an estate agent but the level of service and professionalism I experienced with Ideal has caused me to re-think my jaundiced view. Most importantly their local knowledge ensured that we had excellent advice on marketing strategy and consequently sold the property very quickly at a good price. By comparison to other local estate agents the costs were significantly lower but this did not have a detrimental effect on service. Calls were answered immediately or returned promptly and someone was always available for accompanied viewings - often at very short notice. How many other estate agents offer 7 day, 8am-8pm availability The very helpful team were always on hand to offer advice, even on issues not specific to the sale of my property. They kept the pressure up on the chain and solicitors without prompting from me. I was close to using an on-line agency but very pleased I didn't. If estate agency on the high street is to survive this is how it will need to be delivered, cost effective, helpful, friendly and efficient
