I go here regularly, super easy and quick service; complete with seasonal decorations. Very friendly staff too, thank you so much!
Service has gone downhill recently, ordered on 10th took 4 days for collection notification, this would then be held for 2 days which was the 16th however collecting on the 16th they wouldn’t honour the pre-order. Staff member could be a lot more friendly. Lots of other bureaus in town.
Always a pleasure to buy and sell currency here. Staff are always attentive and caring to my needs. The older lady (sorry I forgot your name!) is really helpful and attentive, always serves me with a smile and positive attitude. Best customer service experience with money exchange I've had! The ones working at this branch deserve a raise or big bonus. Always on top of things.
Absolutely amazing customer service. Would give 10 stars if I could. Due to travelling to a very specific destination, I had to go through mulitple checks. However, Kirsten and Tracy helped me all the way through, even when I was having issues my card issues. They held my transaction until the evening and even offered to stay after hours to complete the process. Thank you very much Kirsten and Tracy, they are a credit to the team!
Review for No.1 Currency – Drake Circus, Plymouth ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1 star) I genuinely do not recommend this company, especially if you value your right to leave honest feedback without being confronted or made to feel ashamed for it. I was left in tears at this location at 11:22am on Friday, July 18th, following an extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional encounter with the manager. I had previously visited in May — after years of using this branch — and had what I described in a review as one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. I left a review that I believed was fair and truthful, and I resolved not to return. However, after a kind and sincere call from Head Office, I was encouraged to give them another chance. I did — and my next visit in June was pleasant. They were helpful, and I appreciated being listened to. Unfortunately, today undid all of that goodwill. I visited to collect a Western Union payment and was blindsided by the manager who confronted me about the negative review I left weeks ago. She claimed she just “wanted my side,” but then began questioning why I returned if my review said I wouldn’t — essentially calling my integrity into question in front of other customers and my teenage daughter. Despite asking her politely several times to drop the subject and proceed with the transaction, she continued talking about it, apologizing but also persisting in making me feel guilty and uncomfortable — until I was in tears, in public. No customer should be put in this position for sharing honest feedback — feedback I was initially hesitant to give, but felt was warranted. Apparently, giving this company a second chance was a mistake. They don’t forget or forgive criticism, and seem to take it personally enough to confront you the next time they see you. This experience was embarrassing, upsetting, and completely unprofessional. I’ll never return, and I hope others think twice before doing business here — especially if you believe in giving honest feedback and expect to be treated with respect regardless.

Tracy was absolutely fantastic, she was so friendly and made sure to count my money slowly enough so that I was comfortable and she wished that I had a lovely holiday! 10/10 would recommend no1 currency, always the best rates I can find and very quick delivery/collection
I went here for Singapore dollars and was served by a lovely gentleman called Kieren. He deserves a promotion and a raise, he gave me a very good rate and I would recommend this bureau to anyone. Peace out, Laura
