   I took my daughter and grandson on a trip out of St Mawes as a surprise. The experience didn’t disappoint. I have given a short description of the adventure below but Iain was punctual, had great communication skills, was highly professional and personable. We had immediate confidence in our skipper as we were taken through a thorough safety talk and description of how the rib was designed and operated. He made us feel comfortable and as the weather looked a bit changeable, even supplied waterproof trousers. We knew straight away we were in experienced and safe hands. This was a private charter…but rather than suggest where we wanted to go we let Iain just use his knowledge to try and locate local wildlife. This paid off as he managed to home in on two different pods of dolphins and we were treated to close up viewings of many sea birds. Amazing. Very happy grandson who Iain gave much time to (thank you). We will be booking another adventure with Iain and cannot fault the experience. 10/10. Jon, Bex and Harry.

   We had the most amazing experience with Ian today, what a fabulous tour with such a knowledgeable and lovely guy. To see the area from the water was a real treat and the pods of dolphins was the icing on the cake. Great boat, great fun. Highly recommend.

   My wife and I took a fast RIB ride with August Rock Adventures. The captain (Iain) was amazing, making sure we were both happy with the safety equipment and briefing before we set off. We then headed out on an exhilarating 2 hour ride. Iain is a fountain of local knowledge and answered all of our questions about the local area and its heritage. We saw plenty of wildlife and even managed to see a large pod of dolphins which made our holiday. This is the best boat excursion on the South Coast so I can thoroughly recommend it to anyone who enjoys being on the water. We will definitely be back again next year.

   Had an amazing time off the coast of Falmouth with skipper Iain. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Choice of where to be picked up from and flexibility where we went. We chose to go out to sea a bit and rewarded with great wildlife experience. Multiple dolphins (which can be hit and miss whether see any or not) and we were very blessed to see shoals of tuna herding the smaller fish up. This was a uncommon event we were told. Trip would have been great without the wildlife but was definitely icing on the cake. Safe, all equipment provided and would definitely do again. Many thanks to Iain. Wonderful memories.

   This is the boat trip to book, for sure. Iain is a complete professional but also just a nice guy and a pleasure to be with. Excellent comms beforehand. Very accommodating on the day and no clock-watching (quite the opposite). He had to deal with a family of 5 from an anxious 10yr old, to a thrill-seeking teen and an 85yr old grandfather - and we all came away happy, feeling we’d had a great experience. Felt very safe. Lots of info given and questions answered. Loads of flex over what you do with your time but also realistic about what’s achievable. We’ve done a few boat trips now but this one is highly recommended. Thanks Iain for making our holiday!

   We really enjoyed our recent RHIB trip on Harbinger and would recommend to anyone who fancies a fast, exhilarating experience. Iain is very knowledgeable and we had a thorough safety chat at the start. It was nice that the boat was exclusively ours for the 2 hour trip. We managed to find some seals but the dolphins were elusive on this occasion. Maybe next time. Thank you Iain

   We had a wonderful time! The rib experience was the highlight of our trip to Cornwall. Iain has an incredible knowledge about the area and showed us around the beautfiul Cornish coastline. We saw some seals and a large pod of dolphins durning our 2-hour tour, which was an incredible experience. I don't think that is a guarantee but we where really fortunate to see them. You can tell Iain loves what he does and is passionate about the wildlife and the history of Cornwall. Don't hestitate book your trip with August Rock Adventures you will not be disappointed.    We had an amazing experience with Iain from August Rock Adventures. A great RIB ride out of Helford River and along Falmouth Coastline. Our son loved it and was a fun time for all the family. Iain was very informative and welcoming. Have loads of useful information about the local area. Would recommend to anyone looking for the type of adventure. Lovely setting and pickup location from Helford River.

   We were so lucky to have seen a large school of dolphins. They followed the RIB swimming alongside us. We've been on many boats around the world to view dolphins, but never have we seen so many or got so close. The RIB is ideal for this, because you're so close to the water. It's such a comfortable vessel too compared to other speedboats. The whole trip was amazing. Iain is so accommodating and will tailor the trip to whatever you want to do. We all had a go at driving the boat, which was great fun. We did the Half Day Explorer, which we found ideal. We had lunch booked at the Ferryboat Inn at the end of our trip and Iain brought us in bang on time to collect our lunch. It was easily the best thing we did in our week's holiday in Cornwall. Book it now!!
