Visited this lovely centre yesterday. Karen and her staff made our visit so enjoyable. I was able to hold birds and have 1 fly to me. All the staff were very knowledgeable and very keen to share information about the birds with us so we learnt a lot about the various species there. Thank you so much for making our visit so memorable

Unfortunately I wouldn’t really recommend this place. It has lots of different birds and info on each one to read, but they are behind a barrier so you can’t get that close and when we visited there weren’t any flying displays. We got to see the staff cleaning out the bird’s cages and that was about it. The staff did not make much effort to engage with visitors even though we were the only people there for most of our visit. The admission charge goes to a good cause but it did not feel like value for money at all for what you can get out of the visit.

Had a truly wonderful experience today - being out of season myself and my partner were the only visitors there when we arrived so it was super quiet. The staff had paid attention to my partner when he mentioned I really liked owls and they allowed us to get super close. Something I never expected - which was an amazing experience. They were on hand to answer questions and spoke to us about the birds and advised us when they were feeding each so we could watch and ask questions. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable and their love for the birds was clear. We’ll definitely be back when we visit Devon again next year!

Firstly, the staff are friendly and dedicated to the wonderful array of birds found here. As a keen photographer, some excellent opportunities are afforded. The only down side is apparently some birds don't like wheels, so as my wife was in her wheelchair, one of the bird's didn't perform well and the owner, Karen, kept glaring at my wife, even though we said we'd move away and a blanket was brought to cover the wheels! So a fantastic experience was tarnished and my offer to volunteer, voided.

If you would like to handle birds and learn about them, this is a good place to go. Karen is lovely and loves and respects "her" birds,

Decent experience. Had a good 6 month wait due to constant bad weather conditions but finally got a still day and had a lovely up close and personal experience with the stunning birds. Karen the owner was very informative and passionate about what they do. Worth the wait. Garden centre next door was ideal for lunch and warm drink after.

As a family we had a taster session for 1.5 hours. It was a fantastic experience. Karen and her team were brilliant and very welcoming, as well as knowledgeable. The birds were happy and healthy, obviously very well looked after. We will be returning very soon and I will be recommending the centre to friends and family. Thank you Karen, her team, and especially to the birds for a superb experience.

Some really beautiful birds, friendly staff and reasonably priced. Well worth a few hours and even longer when they do the flying displays.
