I've used shetons a few times now 15 years ago would have scored 5 , but I requested a quote 1st Dec 2024 , I rang up 2nd of Jan 25 to chase it up as no reply. The receptionist couldn't even spell who the email would have been from. Very short sighted as I have 4 properties for sale, the same I purchased with them 10-15 years ago. Gone downhill
Used Shelton's twice now, to sell 2 properties, and buy another, excellent service, from this hard working team of solicitors, nothing too much trouble, many questions answered as promptly as possible! Very stressful towards the end of selling then buying and doing an exchange and completion in same day was nerve racking but Lynne did everything she could to get everything in place! Thank you to Lynne, Stephanie and Nicole. Highly recommend this solicitors.
Lynne and Steph have been absolutely brilliant during my recent home move. I can't say a bad word about them. It's been a pleasure despite the stress. They worked hard on my behalf and I couldn't ask for more than that. This is my 2nd time using their services and I know it won't be my last. A big thumbs up and thank you to both of you.
I really don't understand all these bad reviews. All I can say from my own experience it has been a pleasure to have had Lynne and Stephanie working for me with regards my mortgage. From middle of March to start of May is all it took to complete. Excellent service. Mr H Mabrouk
Is is rare in my life that I have dealt with a company so incompetent. Long, deliberate delays to justify unnecessary fees. A simple estate that took 21 months to resolve. Rude responses to enquiries. Temper tantrums when their service was criticised. To say that we, as a family, are unhappy with their service would be an understatement.
I wouldn’t recommend; I was constantly chasing the solicitors, they seemed to be uninformed- complete lack of handover and communication between staff. We have almost missed our exchanged date and paid penalties due to the solicitors’ incompetence . They made the whole process truly stressful.
I wouldn't recommend Shelton Solicitors, or I would be very sceptical. I have had the first negative feeling when there was a miscommunication between them leading to a 2-week delay. After that, I did an experience automatic reply while the designated solicitor was on a holiday delaying for a few more days - but more importantly making me anxious not knowing where we were standing with the process. In the end, and after I have been told that upon completion all the relevant documents will be sent to me, I have only received one piece of paper confirming the transaction. I have paid their fees to the full but I did not feel like a valued customer and didn't receive fully professional service. And the irony is that I didn't go for any of the big firms in town as I wanted to give an opportunity to a smaller business (fees were exactly the same). At least, glad the transaction is over.
