Would have been no stars if I could have done. Haven't been to Poundland in Portishead since they changed location to the High Street. Used the previous location next to Pets at Home all the time. Thought I would have a look in the High Street store as I needed a few things - all the manned tills have gone and the lady who used to serve me (in what was a busy store) was keeping watch over six or so self-serve tills - unsurprisingly, the store was empty. I don't work for Poundland and am not doing their work for free so it is the first and last time I shall go in there. Nailsea Poundland, however, still serve their customers properly and are really friendly so I shall be going there.

Nice store & staff, but please Open The Checkouts. Too much hassle with the self serve, continually, 'unexpected item in bagging area', 'authorisation required,' 'wait for assistance' ........etc, really don't want to shop somewhere which causes this aggravation & inconvenience.

Poundland in Portishead is a retail haven that provides a straightforward and convenient shopping experience. During my recent visit, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm and friendly staff, the convenience of parking, and its ideal location within the town. The standout feature of this Poundland store is undoubtedly the welcoming staff. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with smiles and helpful assistance. Their courteous and friendly demeanor not only made the shopping experience enjoyable but also left a positive impression. Moreover, the parking facilities at this location are a definite advantage. There's ample space for shoppers, which greatly reduces the stress of finding a parking spot, a common challenge in many retail areas. The convenience of easy and accessible parking is a significant perk when you're on a shopping mission. The store's location in the heart of Portishead is another notable attribute. It's strategically situated, making it easily accessible to residents and visitors alike. Whether you're running a quick errand or planning a shopping trip, Poundland's central location within the town simplifies the process. In conclusion, Poundland in Portishead offers a friendly and accessible shopping environment. The welcoming staff, convenient parking, and prime location within the town all contribute to a pleasant and hassle-free shopping experience. It's a go-to spot for those seeking affordability without compromising on quality, and I'll definitely be returning for my future shopping needs.

Great it's just like it says it's a pound store so don't expect anything but that when you go in. Don't get me wrong it's great for those nic nak things and cheap essentials you want. And a few bargains at a pound

The staff are homely & nice, the self service tills are a bit rubbish seem to break down frequently. Possibly, all three self check outs being in constant use because of all the bargain priced stock, a higher volume of customers with large quantities of items than the tills were designed to cope with!!!

Uncomfortable. I didn't pick a basket up because of covid. Can catch it through touch too. A store detective came flying out the store and followed me in. I refused to move until she moved on clearly not buying anything. Then a lady from the till took over. I walked off slowly. Dreadful. I was treated with suspicion before I even stepped in the shop! Not nice! I did my shopping and paid. I don't think I will use it again. By the way, my skin colour isn't white. I wonder if that had any bearing on how I was treated? Not pleasant at all.
