Excellent service always friendly smiles from the Plains team. The fish and chips are the top quality and the restaurant is always spotless!
The food is absolutely gorgeous, the best chippy in Nottingham for sure!! The service is second to none and the atmosphere is perfect. My number one chippy! Wouldn't go anywhere else!

Been here a few times. The last two times the order was wrong. Ordered a burger with salad and no sauce, we just received a Plain burger. No salad, little boy was disappointed. Staff are always talking amongst each other instead of paying attention to the customer who's actually paying their wages. Food is good, just service let's this place down
Shocking is the only word to describe the excuse of a takeaway! Ordered large fish and chips with curry sauce, the whole lot was virtually stone cold and the fish batter was nearly empty of fish! £13.50 for a cold dinner that was probably left over from lunch time. Sorry but will NOT return here ☹️
Would Highly recommend!We pre Ordered from here for our Holiday club children in Half term. When we called to pre order we spoke to Tony, he asked how many children we had to feed to which he so kindly gave us extra food for all the children. We cannot thank Tony and his team enough! The children had a lovely Pyjama day and a chip shop Lunch! Thank you again from all the Staff and Children at Jesters!
First time ordering from here. Absolutely delicious. The food was fresh, my fish was golden crispy. Tasted like fish and chips from back in the day. Win win!!
I ordered a large bag of wrapped chips to take away costing £3.80. Upon getting home I unwrapped a tray of chips. I called plains chip shop to notify them they'd made a mistake,only be told that the tray of lonely miserable chips they'd served me was there signature large chips. Not what I was expecting. If like me you expect a large bag of chips to serve at least an adult and a child don't go to plains chip shop. Crazy prices ripping people off
Simplicity at its best!!! The best fish and chips I've ever had! A must try if you're in Nottingham! don't forget the peas and curry sauce!
