Not the best experience here unfortunately. Firstly the service - our waitress was lovely but the service was let down by the manager, who was stood near our table and appeared very irritable. The first of our group to arrive had asked for some water while she waited for the rest of us to arrive, and then as soon as we were all seated (before anyone had even asked us if we wanted to order anything), we overheard the manager say to a waitress something along the lines of "why have they come here just to drink water and have a business meeting?" which didn't make us feel very welcome at all. He then came over not long after to tell us quite rudely and abruptly that he'd need the table back in an hour and a half. By this point we were wondering why he was so annoyed that we'd come to spend money in his restaurant. He did suddenly become more polite and friendly later, when a different booking didn't turn up, so I guess he had less reason to pressure us to leave. The food - at best nice, at worst clearly shop bought and warmed up. The pasta was quite nice, if I'd have made it myself at home I would have been pleased with myself, but it wasn't the sort of showstopping 'can't make this yourself at home' type food. The garlic bread was clearly shop bought and warmed up, as well as the chocolate fudge cake. It also wasn't warmed up particularly well, so rather than being soft and warm and fudgy it was just like a slightly dry, dense chocolate cake. It was fine though. With all the choice for stunning food and brilliant service we're lucky to have in Nottingham, I definitely won't be going back here.

Always the best food, service and atmosphere. We've never ever had a poor meal and the lasagna at Luigi's is better than we had in Venice in Italy. The steaks are perfectly cooked and of the best quality. We're never disappointed.

Lovely evening meal for a birthday celebration. Steak, chicken and pizzas were all cooked to perfection. They also offered a great variety of gluten free options and made speical consideration for celiac. Will definitely return.

Beef lasagna was nice, but not worth the money as the portion was rather small. We also ordered garlic bread which was clearly bought from the shop rather than made in house, which was disapointing. The highlight for me was their Tiramisu, gluten free and one of the best I've ever had.

First time here (Thurs 10/4/25), but it certainly won't be the last !! What a great little independently run italian restaurant. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. It smells amazing just walking in. Mario looked after us mostly, with the help of a young lady later on. Food is top notch, we had steaks for main course, 1 sirloin & 1 fillet. Cooked perfectly & with a great sauce too. Starters were gorgeous & good sized portions (garlic mushrooms & paté), and the sticky toffee pudding for dessert is just amazing....the tiramisu is also very good. Just writing this review makes me want to go back again - right now !! Thanks Luigi's, we'll be back !!

What's not to love? The food is excellent, the wine is carefully chosen and the service is great. The staff are attentive and obviously well trained and the chef knows exactly what he or she is doing in the kitchen. There are so many independent restaurants that have not survived the last few years but Luigis has and we are all the richer for having it!
