Just had a Christmas dinner and nite at The Castle Inn. Food was top notch being well cooked and served hot and in perfect timing. Stopped and listened to the band who very noisy and good. Please pass on my thanks to the hard working staff,all very pleasant and took time to interact with their customers. A excellent venue, good luck and stay with it.
Despite being extremely busy, they fitted us in. Given beautiful room upstairs. Very attentive staff and delicious food, so good we returned the following day. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent lunch time meal with work colleagues. Friendly atmosphere and the staff were really polite and helpful too. The food itself was hot and fresh and very tasty. 6 of us had lunch and a drink for just over £100 which we thought was excellent value too. Would highly recommend anybody in the area visiting if they wanted a nice lunch or evening meal.
I’m wish we were local, what an amazing find! Staff second-to-none, food (gluten-free!!) simply fantastic. Vibrant, busy yet not interfering with our night. Noah stood out with his amazing customer service skills. Highly recommend.
We didn't go wrong by choosing this place to dine at. The food is extremely well presented and very, very tasty. Staff is awesome, very helpful at all times. Prices are fair, restaurant is clean and very spacious. Recommended.
Such a brilliant place, always have a great time when we visit. The staff are lovely and go out of their way to make sure you have the best time. It’s also a fantastic venue to hold special occasions, I’ve had my hen do and a birthday celebration here and were amazing. Both times the team of staff clearly went out of their way to get everything right. The foods delicious as well as the the amazing range of drinks. On this occasion we attended the New Year Party which was done so well. The land lord and lady do an amazing job and it really shows.
Went for lunch with colleagues. The pub has a lovely interior and we got a great table by the window. Service was quick and friendly. The food was all delicious, most of us had pizzas which were huge and obviously freshly cooked in the pizza oven. We'll definitely be back!
Booked a table for early evening meal before going on to the airport after reading reviews. We were not disappointed. We ordered a pizza, the special which was sea bass and the lamb. All very tasty and the shame was we couldn’t relax and stay for a couple of drinks. The staff were lovely and helpful and we met Max the owner who was very welcoming. A new found gem so thank you and I will definitely return to enjoy some Friday night live music.
Firstly I'll say that my wife's shortcrust beetroot and feta tart and salad main were lovely. As were the chunky chips for my Fish and Chips special of the day. All staff and service also attentive and knowledgeable. However, my fish was mainly batter (wish I'd taken a before pic now!) and again mistakes can happen I just felt that knocking a £4 pint off the bill in recompense for a £17 less than child's portion simply wasn't enough redress. Didn't kick up too much fuss and didn't want to get a manager involved. TLDR: If I returned I'd stick with a wood-fired pizza to accompany Friday live music.
What a great find. We felt so at home at The Castle Inn. Great service, great atmosphere and delicious food. On arrival the team told us there was a wait for food which was great for managing our expectations. We stayed and the atmosphere was so good it didn't seem too long a wait. Food was delicious. The pizza was cooked in a special pizza oven and the portions were generous. The manager and hosts came up for general chit chat which made us feel even more welcome. They had a live bad which was great. Thanks so much. We will definitely be back again.
