I had an assessment session and was told I’d receive a call back, when I hadn’t for several months I called back to hear an update, I was told they’d get back to me in a few hours to hear nothing. It’s been over a year now I still haven’t heard anything

My husband been let down by this team. Today 23/08/2022 was his 1st counselling session. They called our land line number not his mobile number as instructed on the forms. Whe I answered the call, asked who was calling, she didn't give me her name or where she was calling from. Unless she told me who she was, i was not going to put the call through to my husband. She then sent a text msg saying that m husband's mobile doesn't work which it does work. Thanks for nothing. you know my husband contact number call him and apologise not me if I have to get medical assistants out because of u, I know who I'm blaming

Look elsewhere if you're in need of help. My personal experience I was very much forgotten about. I had one consultation phone call back in November, completely opened up about my situation and although I respected that the person I spoke to said I needed to contact other mental health organisations related to my case, I was told I would receive information to contact them. I waited weeks but never received anything, emails, phone calls etc. Until December 31st when I had a letter come through saying they had tried calling me a number of times, and if they didn't hear anything from me 7 days after the letter was written then they would "assume I no longer needed their help". I received this letter 8 days after it was written so called up immediately to be told the person I originally spoke to was on annual leave until the 4th Jan and would call me back on their return. Still no phone call and I'm very disappointed with the unprofessional lack of care after the initial phone call in a very difficult and vulnerable time.

I'm not going to waste much of my time on this person. Cognitive Behavioural Therapist Craig Brown provided by the Let's Talk Wellbeing service is negligent beyond belief. If you're suicidal or depressed to any extent he'll indirectly suggest ways you can top yourself. I've complained to the service and taken it to the ombudsman but they didn't resolve anything. Our own health service and government have blood on their hands.

So it's good and bad When I could talk to them staff seemed helpful I am working in the office at the moment so asked them to communicate by email they continued to ring me and leave voice mails I went on to the silver cloud website through these guys didn't really work for me. Asked to go on to CBT they tried to arrange slot outside of office hours so I could have one only time I got some thing back was with a trainee I was not comfortable with my calls being recorded and listened to by others. I understand that it is needed to train people up but in this case I struggle to talk about my mental health with one person as soon as i know it's being recorded it spikes my anxiety and means I know I will struggle to be as open as would be needed for this to actually work. Over all my experience wasn't great but if you are not busy during office hours so can better fit their open time or are comfortable enough with your issues to be able to talk about them with more than one person then maybe they will be good for you. Also obviously this is during lockdowns and tier systems in person was not an option.

I waited six months for just four CBT sessions with a "therapist" who was completely devoid of any sympathy. She just blamed all of my traumas on me instead of helping me examine them and I came away feeling like I hadn't really been listened to or helped and I felt even more angry and hopeless than before. So thank you, Let's Talk Wellbeing, for contributing to my issues instead of actually helping me with them, which is what you're meant to be there for.
