I visited Co op a few days ago and was charged twice for the same item. I showed the staff member that the payment had come out of my account two times, but he insisted that on their side it had not gone through and said their machine must have had an issue. I explained clearly that the money had left my account and that regardless of what their system showed, I had been charged twice. He told me it was a mistake and that the money would be back in my account within 24 hours. It has now been three days and the money is still not back in my account. This feels completely unacceptable. In the current cost of living situation, this is the kind of error that can seriously affect people. Imagine if I had no other money to rely on or it was for a larger amount. I cannot even get back to the store easily because I have a young baby, and the fact that this has still not been resolved is ridiculous. Co op is a large company and this level of service is disappointing. I will be making a further complaint and taking this matter further.

This store has serious issues with security. Daytime looting often happens right in front of customers, which creates an unpleasant and unsafe shopping experience. Some products, such as washing tabs, are kept locked away in the back while only empty boxes are displayed on the shelves — which is frustrating and inconvenient. On the positive side, the store does offer a good selection of fresh produce, and with a Co-op membership the prices are reasonable. The frozen section is very limited There is a small bakery section with a good range of items. It’s also handy that the store has a cash machine inside. I’d love to see fresh flowers and plants available here, along with more reasonably priced fresh juices and butter to improve the overall offering. It’s also very unsettling to see staff having to lock themselves away behind plastic cages with secured doors, a security guard at the entrance is needed.

Rude inefficient staff! Take a 7 min walk down the road to Aldi and shop there. I only went because Aldi was closed. Next time I will go elsewhere. I will not spend my money in a store that can't do basic customer service. And yes it is the manager I am referring to

I’ve been coming to this Co-op regularly for over a year and a half — at least twice a week — and always with my assistance dog, who is fully certified. I’ve never had any issues until now. Today, despite my dog being a support animal and despite being recognised by many of the staff, I was suddenly refused entry. This is unacceptable and discriminatory. What’s worse is that this same store regularly deals with actual shoplifters and people openly abusing substances inside, right in front of customers. I’ve personally witnessed people emptying bottles and bags inside the aisles, causing distress and fear to shoppers. It’s shocking that this behaviour is tolerated, yet a well-behaved certified assistance dog is not. Deeply disappointed.

People working here are always indifferent towards you. One time I had someone sneeze directly onto his hand then handle my groceries straight after. Every single time you speak to them they sound like they hate you for being there. The shop also still hasn’t got self-checkout after 10 years. Seems it’s been forgetting about.

Co-op delivery services is the poorest one ever. From 10 items ordered are missing at least 5 every single time but when I go in the shop is everything on shelves. They don't try even to substitute the items cause they're too lazy and bored to do that. I wish I can give -100 stars. Lazy people over and over

I really don’t understand how the management in this place are still employed. Out of date food, ridiculously rude staff and the worst queues I have ever seen. Thank goodness there is a Sainsburys and Marks and Spencer near by.

Terrible second experience here. First time I used them, they were great, today, I used them for the second time and I won't be using then again. I ordered through Co op delivery direct and none of the delivery sites such as delivery etc. I booked a slot, I paid for the goods and the goods have not turned up. I cannot get through to the store to ask where my delivery is as the phone is constantly engaged. I have contacted customer service and now I have to wait between 7 and 10 days for a refund. Absolute joke. If I could give zero stars, I would do.

As with many other customers' reviews here, several times I've found food items out of date. I once pointed this out to staff (some beers), expecting they'd check and clear the shelves, but when I returned next time, the exact same old beers were still there..! Is this even legal? I think it's time this branch was reported to Co-op HQ

This store is local to us, very convenient as it is open till late and stocks most essentials plus some really good quality foods. There are always price offers which I like to take advantage of and Co-op source their fish and other products to support sustainability. I am sure they will strive to make further changes to help tackle climate change. Well done staff, keep up the good works!
