Nothing special , service usually slow and tills never fully manned even when a queue , self see ice rills never work , shelves often empty on parts. I walked in 15 mins before closing and they'd closed the tills and miraculously the self service tills were working and they asked me to use those.
Nice layout. Queues at til run quickly. Now have a chilled section and clothes at the back . Not all stuff is a pound as you would expect now but still some good bargains. Why spend 80p on a bar of choc from a newsagent when you can get 4 smaller bars ( but still twice as much chocolate) for a pound . I go in ther for their pasta mug shots which are alot cheaper than supermarkets. Right next door to a poundstretcher which I feel is sometimes over priced.
Used to be quite good overall but it never seems to have much stock of anything anymore; the failing Pep & Co. section is well kept but the actual Poundland isn't. I found the technology section almost empty, a lot of the chocolate and sweets section empty and found it comparable price wise to the local ASDA which has a lot more stock. A shame overall as I used to like this Poundland a lot, I've also not noticed these issues with the other local branches so am unsure why this one is so bad?
Quick and easy to find what I needed , always great bargains
Decent enough store, not much for £1 any more unfortunately and the last 2 visits I've made, I e queued for ages at the one till they have open........
Packed store loads on offer friendly staff only downside to many self service tills that are card only or not working
Was bored and was just looking around for something to buy for the sake of it. Left empty-handed. Good for some stuff but not for others.
I love the pound shop but I do not like the false advertising. Luring people in with the thought of everything being £1 but then there are things priced at £2 and £5. Things are not always in the correct place and there are no stuff, only self checkouts being used which can be a pain if you need a refund or if more then one person needs help at one time.
