   I used Grooms by Janet at Waggy Tails and have never been disappointed. My rescue dog finds being groomed very distressing and she doesn't always behave herself but Janet takes that in her stride and does an excellent job regardless. My shi-tzu comes out smelling glorious and looking very pretty, but very happy to leave! The price is very reasonable and I will keep going back.

   Had my 2 cavalier king charles groomed here today. NEVER AGAIN. On collection, one was in a cage, visibly distressed, clawing at the bars & crying. You did NOT mention cages at the time of booking. My dogs were clearly anxious with you & very obviously unhappy in a cage. I was told she had been in there for the duration of her pals groom. I did not see a water bowl in that cage. If you are concerned with welfare why leave her whilst she's so obviously distressed? You've admitted you could see her from the grooming table. Other groomers have handled her anxiety at being in a strange place very differently. So, in a 3 hour appointment, distressed, no water for prolonged periods, presumably not toiletted. Whilst a staff dog roamed free - as confirmed by your staff. No mention of resident dog on your website/at time of booking. My dogs are the best of friends and do NOT need to be separated - saying you did so 'for their safety', and because one was 'causing the other distress' is not only wrong but totally absurd. Neither of the staff numbers who dealt with us used their names, referring to them only by their breed. Cold, unwelcoming, treadmill of an operation. Zero affection shown. I have no idea how you treated them whilst I wasn't present, but I don't like/trust what I saw. I'll leave you the reader to draw your own conclusions as to whether you'd trust this business with your fur balls... I certainly won't ever return. Instead preferring to wait for an appointment with one of the many, wonderful groomers whom we've used before. EDIT.... Your response is indicative of a worryingly harsh, money centric attitude, also on full display when I dropped my dogs off. Granted I was early, (i happily took them for a walk to kill time) but your groomer needed 15 minutes of our appointment time to finish a previous customer.. who in her words was a 'complete nightmare'. Perfect start to a groom. I did not leave filled with confidence. Sadly you did nothing to make up for a bad start. Your response has served only to further highlight your character. As I said previously. Let's allow others to judge for themselves how comfortable they feel, leaving their fur babies with you.

   We have now had 3 appointments with Grace and she works miracles with our wire haired Korthals Griffon. He's young and playful but she handles him well and he comes back looking and smelling great. The salon is clean, well laid out and we've never had issues with bookings/timings. Thoroughly recommend!

   Highly recommended, Waggy Tails have been regularly grooming our cockapoo for almost 2 years now and they always do a brilliant job, our dog always comes out looking and smelling amazing and Bella is brilliant with all the dogs she looks after.    Honestly the best service ever! So accommodating for a walk in for nail clipping and Bella was incredibly friendly with my dog Bailey who can be a ball of nerves. Gifted the cutest bandana to match his collar too! Can’t recommend Waggy Tails enough!!!
