Excellent dog groomers, would highly recommend! Becky is always very friendly and knowledgeable but will also happily take your preferences on board, not just give a standard cut like some groomers. The salon is always clean, tidy and fresh and her drop off and pick up service is very helpful!
Today Becky went above and beyond looking after my mum’s dog, Katie, a Border Collie. She not only groomed the dog, but also alerted us to possible health concerns and recommended a vet. My mum and Dad could not get to the vet on their own, so Becky offered to take my Mum there and bring her back and has also offered transport for the next follow up appt. what a wonderful, caring woman Becky is. She kept us fully informed and offered excellent, knowledgable advice. Would highly recommend!

Great service, great job, wonderful results! I have been using hair of the dog for a few years now. I have a very large, very hairy collie that we regularly have groomed. I have allergies that prevents me from doing the big shed brushing (in which another 3 dogs worth of hair is removed!) and it can take me hours at the weekend to get through it all. Hair of the dog do this with ease and in half the time it takes me to do one leg! The grooming room itself is small but fresh, clean and tidy. They happily acccomidate my rather odd request to cut his feathers (leg hairs) down and neatly trim his underbelly as it used to be a nightmare to keep our house clean and dry due to his long feathers and undercarriage bringing in half the field and sludge that comes with a collie! Some other groomers actually refused to do this for me but hair of the dog do such a good job you dont actually realise it’s not a standard cut! As I work full time it’s sometimes hard to get my own hair cut let alone my dogs but due to the local collection and drop off service they offer I simply return home from work and there he is fully groomed, safe and sound in his own home with a bow on his collar :) No waiting around in small dog crates or noisey kennels which is great for him and really helps me out at times. Hair of the dog do a marvellous job and I can’t reccomend them enough.
We needed to find a local Dog Groomer to look after our slightly nerves, year old Shih Tzu cross, who has some allergy issues and needs to use a medicated shampoo. My wife is picky and would trust our little boy to just anyone, It was our Vet who recommended we try Hair off the Dogs. After a telephone consultation, Becky agreed to take Polo for his next bath and clip. He was collected a few days later at a time to suit us and returned later that afternoon. He has never looked so good, or seemed so relaxed and happy after a visit to the grooming salon. We love the fact he is free to run around the garden and has a quiet area in the salon, where he can get out of the way when he wants to. We highly recommend Hair off the Dogs at Gotham, to anyone who wants a happy well groomed dog!
Becky has done a great job tidying up our two border collies who seem very happy to visit her for their wash and brush-up. Becky really loves dogs and they respond really well to her. She is also willing to collect them if needed which can be helpful. We would definitely recommend Hair off the Dogs to other dog owners.
