   Made a booking 48 hours ago, but unfortunately due to an appointment for my 2 year old son that has been brought forward and will need to be kept home for two weeks following his operation we will not be able to attend this booking, I've been told today that the deposit is none refundable and there is nothing they can do, I appreciate there a policy's in place, however with the shorty turn around I would have expected some level of compassion from a so-called family business. This is absolutely ridiculous in relation to great customer service and will not be recommending anyone use this company for a family holiday as the only care is for your money.

   We booked here as the location was just what we wanted, in the middle of nowhere, and with a hot tub! The owners are fantastic and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Word of warning, it is located on a working farm, so be prepared for flies and country smells and noise (i was brought up in the country so it didn't bother me). The owners have some gorgeous hounds which are kept in a field opposite during the day. There is another cottage next door, but there is enough privacy for the hot tub and you can't overhear conversations whilst in. The cottage was a very good size and was well done out. There was even a selection of cakes waiting for us when we arrived. Local shops are a 5 minute drive away if you need anything like milk, bread etc. We will be staying here again. Thank you for your lovely hospitality.
