   Start Bay Bungalows offer a wonderful self contained accommodation with exceptional views. We've stayed in three of the bungalows so far and have been delighted each visit. You can sit inside or on the patio and gaze out to sea or along the beach and adjoining Slapton Ley fresh water. Sunrise from Clifftop is amazing and you can hear the waves gently breaking from below and birdsong. And don't miss the sunset across the Ley from the nature reserve view point. The five bungalows are surrounded by a well maintained garden with a variety of tender plants such as the giant echiums, palms and pines that give a Mediterranean feel. A great place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and unwind. Torcross beach along with its pub and restaurants are only a few minutes walk via the coastal path. Or Beesands, with its superb fish restaurants is a 20 minute walk south along the cliff path to the right.

   Stunning views from the home we are in our 1st visit recommend by very good friends of ours who have been coming over here for the last 12years. Property is cozy ideal for the 4 of us. Make sure you bring along trainer's or something along those lines as there's steep area to the property as well as walking down it. Do bring along a torch as there's no lights walking back to the bungalow . There's steps down to the shingle beach. The beach is clean and have handful of cafe's. Plenty of parking spaces.(make sure you bring along pound coins & 50p"s) parking machine does not give change. The restrooms are clean and handy to have in the carpark which is just across the road from the beach. Bring along your deck chairs or beach towels and you can't hire them. We also did the nature walk which is also a must. It takes u down to another beach again stunning as the others. Definitely recommend the whole area. Blackpool sands only half hour drive . The owners are lovely go out of their way to look after you. Thanks Howard and family xx

   The best place I have ever stayed. The owners are lovely and really care, the bungalows have wonderful views, surely the best in the area (maybe in the south west). It's good value and somewhere we return to Year after year.

   This is so tranquil. All you hear is bird song and the sound of the water. The views are awesome. Highly recommended. We are booking again for next year. A bit of a climb to get to the bungalow but when you get there WOW.

   This place is beautiful , it sits in an elevated position with views of the beach and nature reserve. The apartments are tastefully decorated to a good standard . At the rear you can watch the birds feed off a feeding station , the variety of birds there is overwhelming. There is a nice pub that serves food all day and a good restaurant that caters for the family . The beach is shingle but very beautiful and stretched for a few mile . This is one of my favourite places in the world .
