Great site for families with children. Well equipped and spacious. Not ideal for more mature people with limited walking ability.

We arrived without notice and asked to camp. The camping area was reserved to a youth training scheme but a little discussion with the scheme leaders ended with an invitation to pitch our pup tent in another field, and an outlet was found from which to charge my bike battery. The hotel and tea room was closed at that time and had nothing for us but water, but we were adequately supplied and left the next morning after a good night’s sleep in a beautiful place. Recommended.

A wonderful setting. We had the Barn for a family gathering. The hot tub, fire pit and snooker table entertained the children and adults alike. Several people went for local walks and loved the views. The rooms were comfortable. The kitchen had everthing we needed to prepare food and crockery, cutlery and glasses were in plentiful supply. We would certainly use the venue again.Thank you.

Stayed at Brimpts both at the Barn for a group trip and at the cottage on a short family break. It is absolutely wonderful. Barn: Ideal group accommodation which is quite luxurious, comfortable beds, clean and warm. There is a dry room which comes i. very handy when on a kayaking trip, the jacuzzi is pure joy when recovering your aching muscles. The kitchen is clean and functional and fully equipped. Large communal hall with a big wood burner. Cottage: an absolute jewel! large comfortable sitting room with wood burner, lovely light and well equity kitchen, conservatory dining area with a large dining table. At the back there is a small yard also with a wonderful jacuzzi. Overall value for money is excellent! Can’t wait to get back! Not just the accommodation is wonderful, Brimpts make you feel welcome. The people that run it a lovely, friendly and helpful!

Stunning setting with the River Dart a brief, and beautiful, walk down the hill. I recently attended a retreat and love the location, layout and atmosphere, also the bed was honestly the most comfortable I can ever remember sleeping in. We mismanaged our travel and the owner was super helpful ringing round for a taxi on a Sunday, overall a great experience, thank you so much!

We've had a lovely Christmas holiday t and we absolutely loved it. Our friends and us definitely recommend it. The house is very spacious and clean. The kitchen is equipped with everything you can think of, when you are going away. The owners are very friendly and approachable. They popped around a couple of times to make sure everything is OK and to clean the hot tub. Also, they surprised us with a lovely Christmas tree and lovely Christmas decorations around the living room. Day and night we had hot water and the heating was on (the rooms were warm and cosy). Overall it was a great experience. Thank you!

Absolutely stunning Place to stay. Rooms are basic but hot tub, pool table and large family room is a massive bonus! Beautiful walks around and only 2 mins away from the river!
