We spent a long weekend in Rosemary Cottage in April. Absolutely lovely little place, equipped with everything you will need. Brilliant location for getting to lots of the attractions in Cornwall. Check out Golitha falls just 5 mins down the road too, beautiful walk. The owners Alan & Carolyn are so nice and they welcomed us with a home made cream tea on arrival which was amazing and very kind. Highly recommended! :)
Stayed for a week here in July 2014, with my parents. Cottage very well-equipped. Cream tea on arrival very much appreciated! Perfect location for visiting the many attractions within a 1 hour radius. Helpful courteous owners. Gorgeous gardens - each cottage has an outdoor sitting space. Blissfully quiet rural retreat, regardless of the weather. Don't let the narrow approach lane put you off - it is worth it!
If your idea of a holiday in Cornwall is a clean, quiet well-appointed cottage in a rural environment but with easy access to many of the attractions of this county, then Badgers Sett is for you. A particularly attractive feature of each cottage is the little outside area where, weather permitting, a quiet drink after a days "holidaying" can be enjoyed. As with many locations in Cornwall, the drive into the property is "interesting" but then if you can't deal with single track roads with passing places, Cornwall is not for you!
A really nice place to stay - highly recommended. We have stayed here for about 8 years and have had some wonderful holidays. The accommodation is very well looked after and has a lovely cottage feel to it. The countryside location is peaceful with plenty of space in the grounds for the family to enjoy, to relax, bbq, play games or whatever you like - our kids love it. There is plenty to go out and do in Devon and Cornwall and it is always lovely to come back to the cottage at the end of the day. The owners are so caring and helpful - nothing is too much trouble.
Excellent location. The cottage was very clean and comfortable with a charming back garden. We felt at home the first moment we stepped into the living room. The biggest impression we have is the very warm welcome from Phil and Allison which made the stay that much better.
I took a late vacation in 2012 for one week at Badgers Sett. The location is excellent (ideal for exploring north and south coasts and great NT houses). The cottages are impeccable: clean and efficient. The owners are fantastic: helpful and kind and very proud of what they offer. And they have every right to be. Given fair weather, the outside garden plots afford a wonderful tranquil retreat and are the perfect setting for these lovely buildings. I intend to be one of many who shall return to this haven in the future. Thanks A+P, great job.
