A tidal pool that doesn't keep the seawater in it, and is usually full of seaweed and a bit gunky! However, a couple of guys were hard at work doing the monthly clean out when we were there, having fully drained it and taking all the rocks and seaweed out of the tidal pool. Lovely area, surprisingly just off the rather grand Royal William Yard where we had had a wander and lunch. It's very rocky to preserve the cliffs by making a sea wall. There is a concrete walkway into the water where you can walk into the sea and swim off and a nice little pebbly/shale beach to one side. We were there to watch a huge submarine be escorted in which was exiting, and then the next day to go for a bracing dip!

One of my favourite places to visit in Plymouth winter /summer. The cafe do the most amazing chips - only accept cash. You can then walk around to royal William yard where there are an array of bars. If you are a paddle boarder, approach the sea with caution due to currents coming from the right. I advise to wear sea shoes as the stones can hurt your feet.

Great resource, but the bottom is covered in slippery green algae/seaweed. The sea on either side was cleaner so ended up being a safer option for my children to play. This facility would get 5* from me if kept clean and safe

A lovely, free place to swim during the summer.

A fantastic area, great panorama looking over Mount Edgecome, the Breakwater and Mount Batten. There is no life guard at the pool, but it is frequently used by wild swimmers, scuba divers or just those wanting to paddle. There are public toilets by the pool and a cafe with car parking for its customers. Alternatively it's a short stroll from Royal William Yard or Devils Point car park. There is wheelchair accessible walkways but it is stairs down to the water and pool. A pretty location worth exploring.

Very small shallow tidal pool, probably 1 metre deep at deepest. Nice location though, ice cream/snack shack up the steps from it.
