I've been a member of this Gym twice now. The first time there were no problems, in fact my best mate used to work here. The 2nd time, whilst there are no issues with the gym. I cancelled my membership in person as they request. 2 years later I realise im still paying for it. I tried contacting Ashbourne Management that deals with their memberships. and they can prove I tried to quit so won't accept it. Great gym, but make sure you cover your own backs when trying to leave. Because you'll lose a lot of money.

Very good gym and the best bit they say the steam room will be up and running (after years of not working) by Easter this year. Watch this space

A nice gym in a central location. The gym staff are very welcoming and always happy to answer any questions. Good facilities especially for the price of a membership.

I’ve been a member at McCaulay’s for 9 years now and out of all the gyms I’ve tried in this time, McCaulay’s is easily the best. The staff are amazing and they always make you feel like part of the family. The range of equipment is great and it only gets “too busy” for about two hours of the day. Amazing gym!

Amazing gym with amazing staff! Been going for years and they have really gone above and beyond to make the place welcome for everyone with major refurbs and new equipment being brought in year round. Never have trouble getting on kit and is rarely busy during the day times! I would recommend this place over any other gym in Plymouth for general workouts but also more specific training programs and classes!

Unpretentious gym that I gave been a member of for years now (though I don't use it as often as I should!) Caters well both for CV workout (treadmills, cross-trainers, bikes etc.) upstairs and weights (mostly downstairs). They seem to keep equipment well maintained and the gents showers and changing room always seem clean and functional. This is a local, independent business that tends not to attract the "posers" so whatever your size and shape, you would probably feel welcome. Although I've never partaken in them, they offer various classes and one-to-one coaching which I understand to be very reasonably priced. Membership price is not dissimilar to other gyms in the area and it is possible to use the more extensive facilities at their Ivybridge site at certain times.
