“My nearly four year old and my 18 month old have both attended Gym Bubbas since they were four months old. Every instructor is kind, patient, friendly and really knowledgeable in developing children’s physical, language and social skills. The sessions are age appropriate for children’s developmental stage and are really engaging and interactive. My children are both extremely confident at running, jumping, climbing and balancing which I truly put down to attending so many Gym Bubbas classes!”
“Brand new bigger gym top equipment and new imersive spin studio all new reception and changing facilities Staff are friendly always happy to help great banter great classes and gym staff very down to earth”
“A very nice warm indoor/jacuzzi. Staff always on hand and very pleasant and helpful. Changing rooms are immaculate and showers are plentiful. Didn't use outside pool as it's October and it's probably very cold lol. There's also a gym which we didn't use snd a sauna which was fabulous. Felt really good when we came out!”
“Our 4 year old has been attending Gym Bubbas Plympton for several years. It's been amazing to see him learn both physical skills and social norms, in that, he will go along the balance beam, but also patiently wait his turn to do so. JD and the team are fantastic with the kids. They've welcoming, fun and also reaffirm good strong rules and boundaries. They're all very approachable and very understanding around everyone's individual social media preferences.”
“My son is thoroughly enjoying his time..thank you for giving him confidence again”
“I love this place. I've been coming here since its Cannons days 20 years ago. Some of the staff from then are still here and they are all lovely, friendly, fun, helpful, supportive. Kay is quite new, but she is the best! Tim's Spinning classes are SO motivating! And Tyrell's Combat is a killer but so much fun they are worth the hard work! Why don't you do food though? A nice healthy meal after Spinning or Combat would go down a treat.”
“Nice clean and hotel quiet hotel room. Very helpful and friendly staff, would be nice if the hotel management put a tip jar for the bar staff etc, paid £104 for the night booked directly, could have paid £90 if booked through a website, would have been nice to pay the lower rate as I was booking direct so no middle men etc. All in all a great hotel and well located with decent staff and customer service, will certainly visit again.”
“We used the pool as a family of 6 and really enjoyed ourselves. All the staff were extremely nice and helpful and the cost was very reasonable, I say this because travel up and down the country and regularly visit other pools that are far more expensive. I am definitely gonna try and visit again during my stay in Plymouth, thanks guys for a great experience”
“Its a great gymnastics club in Plymouth, the coaching is fantastic.”
“On days when you feel tired and depressed, you can go to this place, sit on the grass, look at the beautiful view, the feeling of peace will be transferred to you, a smile will return to your lips, you will be amazed by all the beauty and simplicity, and you will feel good. Use sports equipment there for free”
“Free gym equipment and a great view, can't beat it!”
“Professional friendly service dealing with my damaged ankle ligaments. Very thorough investigation, and a clear range of exercises and treatments followed. It was never going to be an overnight fix, but honest assessment that turned out to be correct. Highly recommended.”
“Have found Nic to be excellent with my ongoing physiotherapy - she understands totally what exercises need to be done to strengthen and improve my overall mobility. Her vast knowledge, support and understanding of my condition has given me the confidence that I have been lacking.. I Have also joined her Pilates sessions which has helped me to date and I continue to improve and strive to be the best that I can be. Thank you.”
“What an amazing swimming school! After years of my little boy being absolutely petrified of water and not wanting to have any water near his face, he is now swimming unaided and with know one holding him! Thankyou so much to all the team and to Claire for all your help and support, we can’t wait for our next session!”
“Great friendly and inclusive gym, classes for everyone and cafe. The swimming pool is very warm, which is wonderful for babies and small children. I've been here for years and enjoyed different classes. There's a thriving squash community here that I know nothing about and swimming lessons that are well taught and organised.”
“Friendly, helpful and caring staff. Welcoming, hot and cold drinks available. Well trained staff always on hand to explain and show all equipment. I'll be back!!”
“You get to really like the team, other users and the venue. Its not the best GYM in the world, but its a GYM that doesn't make you feel inadequate and a lot of times you can train alone. The team are always helpful, always offering help & support when you need it. I would give it a go and see if it works for you! It does for me. x”
“I'm reviewing based on both the Aqua spa and the afternoon tea! The spa is great. Very reasonable priced, given more than enough time to enjoy the facilities. They don't overcrowd the spa so that you aren't able to enjoy it. Lots of different areas to experience and relax in. Access to the pool which is great. Changing rooms are lovely. Offer lockers, costume dryers & hair dryers. Showers also have soap. Overall - great. Afternoon tea (best I've had). Sandwiches were lovely, scones were the best I had ever tasted. Perfect combination of fluffy but with a little crunch. I'm sure the jam was home made? Perfectly sweet and I don't like jam so that says a lot! Carrot cake pot was gorgeous, little caramel tort was delicious and the white chocolate/lemon fancie was stunning!! Presentation was great, customer service was very good and the servers kept our water and tea topped up!! Only points would be, probably another sandwhich? A lot more sweet then savoury options! I wasn't to keen on the rocky road but that's a preference I believe!! I've been twice now to do both and will be back again.”
“Pratical, functional and well set out facilities and contains a realy good Physio/sports injury treatment clinic. The clinic which is staffed by post grad students and students still in training is affordably priced .”
“Fantastic hotel and gym great facilities and friendly staff”
“Wonderful studio with fantastic instructors! I go to Aerial Asylum every week to have lessons with Becki. I have so much fun and highly recommend others to give it a go! Safe equipment, patient instructors and a homely environment. Perfect!”
“Dancing...good for the mind, body and soul. Lemon Frog is a great venue to learn how to dance and also meet a lovely group of people. Teachers Kevan, Julie and Ada are professional and approachable. I started going after I moved to Plymouth a few years ago and am now addicted. Give it a try, you won't regret it”
“We went to the Rings and Dragons Candlelight concert at the National Marine Aquarium during the Christmas period and absolutely loved it. Sitting there with a glass of wine, listening to a string quartet play music from Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones, with candlelight all around and fish swimming in the background, was such a cool and relaxing experience. It felt really special without being formal or over the top. The Haldon Quartet were great and the music worked perfectly in that setting. Definitely something a bit different and well worth going to — I’d happily do it again.”
“Always a great place to work out. Lots of machines available. Not too busy if you avoid very early in the morning or early evening. Staff are friendly and happy to help. Clean facilities.”
“Amazing gym, always very well maintained and lovely environment. Great if you want a quick workout between lectures or wanna take your time. Good array of equipment, and any faults are fixed fast :)”
“Brickfields sports centre is an excellent place to get fit. The staff are lovely, helpful and nothing is too much bother. No one ever judges you on technique or appearance. Everyone is there to achieve their own goal but if you are struggling then there are personal trainers on site to advise you and help. Come and join the gang, you'll love it.”
“Unpretentious gym that I gave been a member of for years now (though I don't use it as often as I should!) Caters well both for CV workout (treadmills, cross-trainers, bikes etc.) upstairs and weights (mostly downstairs). They seem to keep equipment well maintained and the gents showers and changing room always seem clean and functional. This is a local, independent business that tends not to attract the "posers" so whatever your size and shape, you would probably feel welcome. Although I've never partaken in them, they offer various classes and one-to-one coaching which I understand to be very reasonably priced. Membership price is not dissimilar to other gyms in the area and it is possible to use the more extensive facilities at their Ivybridge site at certain times.”
“Great set up, pools are both great, outside one in good weather is like being on holiday. Classes are very good and the instructors I have met are great (Kev Cardio Tennis top chap) it’s always clean and tidy. Gym Area is small for the size of the building, but apart from January never struggled to get on what I want. Kids have been to a few clubs and enjoy them. Very happy member.”
“Young girl made the experience of buying my son his pair of shoes for school very stright forward! Shop was very busy but lots of staff on hand ! 5 stars”
“We took our kids swimming and in half term holidays it was so good. I love that there’s a baby pool moving into a lanes swimming pool. Also, the lifeguards are on it - by that I mean they are very professional and taking good care of everybody in the pool. I was really impressed by that Team”
