   We had my little boy’s birthday party at the YMCA Ocean City Soft Play today (11:30–1:00), and I’m really disappointed with how it went. I booked the room back on 19th July, and went in yesterday to double-check everything and ask what I’d need to bring. That’s when we found out — only because my child’s dad asked — that the TV was broken. No one had bothered to let us know in advance. The receptionist said they’d bring a speaker instead, but five minutes later changed their mind and said they didn’t have one after all. So we ended up having to run the party without any music or atmosphere, and there was no staff around to assist or check in at any point. As we were busy with the kids, I accidentally thought our booking ended at 1:30 instead of 1:00 (totally my mistake). At 1:10, the cleaners arrived confused, and when they came back with the “manager,” he spoke to us rudely, telling the cleaners to start cleaning because there was another party in 10 minutes — not even a polite “sorry, your time’s up, could you please wrap up soon.” For £140, all you get is an empty room — no decorations, no staff support, no reminders before your time is up, and in our case, a broken TV and no music. The cleaners were actually apologetic because they seemed embarrassed by how the manager and reception handled things. I’ve hosted children’s parties at plenty of other venues, and this was by far the most disappointing experience. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend booking a party here.

   I’ve been coming to YMCA for around 7 years, I’ve tried other gyms during this time for various reasons but this is by far my favourite. The refurbishment the gym and facilities have undergone the last few years have been amazing, adding to the brilliant community spirit that’s brimming at the gym. The staff are all lovely people, and the gym is always full of happy people who love a yap! Fully recommend

   Visited today with my kids for them to try out rock climbing. A massive thank you to Briany who showed them the ropes. They couldn't ask for a better teacher. They are very keen to come again if you end up having regular weekend sessions. Very good climbing wall for the kids

   I hired the YMCA half hall for 3 hours, and then hired my own inflatables through a separate company. The hall was clean, affordable and the staff were very friendly and provided me with chairs and tables to use. My son and his friends had a wonderful time celebrating his birthday! Will happily use again and recommend to others.

   Loved having my daughter's birthday party here. The staff were so lovely throughout and checked on us now and then to make sure everything was going well. We booked two bouncy castles and the catering. All the kids loved their whole time there. The catering was a bit of a show stopper since it kept all the kids quiet after running and jumping around. There was plenty of feed for adults too. Thank you again for having us. We'll definitely be back!

   This is a review for the new soft play. Went last week with my 3 year old and baby. Absolutely fantastic, my eldest was able to play on her own whilst I watch her and my baby was able to play in the smaller soft play. Drinks delivered to the table. It maybe smaller than some soft plays but this is definitely our new favourite, also a lot cheaper than other soft plays in the area. Highly recommend.

   The children had lots of fun! Adults were able to sit and enjoy a catch up knowing the kids were safe and having fun. Perfect size with lots to see and do. The table service was quick and easy for drink orders. We will definitely be coming back.
