   Just had my dog Presley groomed today here for the first time and the girls were so lovely and helpful and did an incredible job. Presley looks so handsome just before his 1st birthday. He was given a gorgeous bandana. They were so lovely to him. Thank you so much and see you in 5 weeks. Look how handsome he is. Would highly recommend

   My dog went for a deshed and i dont think they were touched at all and had just put a bandana on to make it look like they were groomed, brought her home and she was still shedding loads of coats of fur.

   The Barker shop is a fantastic groomers, from the minute I made a call asking about a booking to the minute I walked in the door. They are helpful, welcoming and amazing with the dog. I honestly felt so pleased to at last found the groomers my little man deserves. They gave me great advice on cut styles , regular grooming advice and best of all my little bichon came out afterwards so at ease and chilled. Regular 6wk appointments now made with them. Highly recommended these folks. 5star groomers best in the business. Updated 17/Aug/24 Almost 4years now that we have been a customer of The Barker Shop every 6wks we get our bichoen a full groom. The staff and super the owner is a lovely bloke and our furry baby always looks his best. Best in town. Pics added with navy bandana. Updated 23/12/23 ( see Xmas pics ) We have just collected Bailey from his full groom £38. It's now coming on 3 years that we have been using The barker shop. He smells and looks fantastic. Every 6 weeks, we get him a full groom. As always, the staff are super with him. In the summer, they helped spot that he could have the beginning skin issues. We took him to the vet, and they were right he has allergies. If it had not been for them, we never would have realised. No shop is gonna get every customer encounter correct but honestly every time we have been in, they have been fantastic with us and Bailey. Don't let any negative review sink in. Make the call talk to the staff, tell them what you want , hope for, and they will tell you if it's possible or suitable for your breed. The staff all are animal lovers. We wouldn't go anywhere else apart from the Barker shop Updated 6/8/22 We have now been using the Barker Shop since before covid began, our little bichoen has been going every 6 wks for a full groom. Cost has increased slightly now to £38 but that was expected as all things have gone up in price. The Barker shop is always brilliant to deal with the staff are professional and super with the dogs. The cut, style and finish is always prefect and importantly they will inform you of any issues e.g they pick up on the beginning of a little skin condition in our bichoen , vet confirmed and treated it. We wouldn't think about going anywhere else. Updated 11/9/21 review in (blue bandana) our little bichon bailey has now been for his 4th monthly full groom. These groomers are consistently top notch. They are so great with the dogs, warm welcoming and professional, give great advice on how to maintain the coat between grooms and also highlight things to be aware off i.e matting areas. I simply wouldn't recommend any one else. Cut is always prefect and the dog comes out calm and smelling great. Updated 17/4/22 review pics in Navy & black bandana. We have been regularly attending every 6 weeks for coming on 2 years. Our little bichoen is always so beautiful upon return from the Barker shop. The kids like to say it's his spa day. The consistency of the staff is fantastic they never fail the styles are super and regardless of how busy they are upon calling in they always have time to talk to you about your breed and recommend styles. We now have our little Bailey cut in a Teddy bear style and it's honestly the cutest thing he looks like a little spring lamb. We have gotten so many people ask us where he gets groomed. I highly recommend these folks for piece of mind and with regular appointments you little four legged friend will always be looking the best.

   I bring my dog here and I explain how I want to be cut , so Iet her at 1.20 there, whene I come back on 4.20 she say that it's not ready so I come back again 5 PM and she come at the door give me my dog and then she yelled after me and ask me if I paid and I said I payd in advance whene I come and she say OK.Whene I get home my dog had one of her paw full of blood. They hurt my dog.I never come again there.

   I left our wee dog kuro in today in the hope I could explain how We just wanted a trim and tidy and not getting a different looking dog back. The ladies knew what I wanted before I could even explain to them , they said so u want him just cut and tidied enough to look like he wasn’t even here and that’s exactly what they done , when I returned later he was happy and still looking like he always did only trimmed and tidy . Great job ladies and thanks .
