Very nice forest walk with alot of parking and friendly locals. Nice play area for kids too. Duck feeding available with a duck feeding machine that dispenses duck food for £1

Easily accessible forest park. Can be busy at weekends for parking. Great kids play ground. Clean toilets and great coffee wagon. You can walk all the way round in 30-40 mins.

Love this place on a nice day. You don't need to pay to into the grounds, never been in the actual fort so I don't know about that. Photos taken on a warm Saturday and as you can see basically had the place to myself.

Love it here! Several walking trails so you can keep it short/easy round the lake or wander off deeper into the forest towards the back for a longer walk. There is a large play park a short walk into the forest and usually a coffee van at the start and near the kid's park. The castle itself is amazing, you can walk around the grounds and go up on to the walls where some original architecture remains. Nice lake for feeding the ducks and swans etc. Great for walking the dogs. Art installations on the lake path are cool too.

Woodland park is great for the kids. Located behind the lake. Perfect walk anytime of the year. Plenty of places to stop and rest/think/chat or just enjoy the views.

A wonderful park. A large children's playground. A place where you want to return again and again.

A beautiful park, very scenic and photogenic. A few decent walks, both short and long. Plus a decent sized carpark. A small van sells coffee and treats.

Approx 2.2 miles around the lake or up through the trees or along the castle walls. Either way it is a nice relaxing walk which is dog friendly, pity the owners can’t pick up after they do their business. Beautiful swans, ducks and lots of birds set in a nice surroundings and plenty of places to stop and sit and take in the views. I am part of a group called biking adventures and routes Northern Ireland or BARNI and we like to stop off and enjoy beautiful places like this. So get along as you won’t be disappointed.

Very clean and tidy across the whole forest park. Beautiful views of the lake. There are swans and some ducks. There are multiple trails to follow of different lengths. The red walk has a good mix of lakeside and forest scenery. There is a children's play park that looks very good. It looks large and clean. The park is completely free. I would definitely return.
