Visiting the area with family, it was a REALLY busy Sunday!! Our waitress Bernie was really efficient and made us feel very welcome. Ordering and service was smooth and seamless, atmosphere in restaurant was nice, its light and nicely decorated with plenty of space between tables, even when super busy we could still hear each other when talking. Food: we ordered Pizzas and Cannelloni with a side salad. Everything came nicely cooked and well presented, I love when you get food exactly as described on the menu. I definitely recommend Pixxa Express if you are shopping at Rushden Lake. Prices are on the higher side but is matched with quality.
The food was delicious & we were very happy with all the food we received, especially the dough ball starters! However, the service let the restaurant down. We were sat straight away but the person sitting us, who I think was a manager as they wore a plain black top rather than the stripped top, just put the menus on the table & walked away. It was our first time coming to this restaurant so we had no idea how the process worked. We then waited 20 mins for our order to be taken, which we more felt bad for the staff because they clearly didn't have enough people on the floor (only 3 on a busy Saturday evening) but once the server came over they were absolutely lovely! She apologised for the delay & then immediately brought our drinks over to us. The starter took a little while to come but was taken away quickly & our mains came right out. We then waited awhile for a dessert menu & then ordered another drink but was disappointed we didn't recieve a new glass. Overall the experience was good but don't think we would return at the weekend as too busy & they don't have enough staff to cope with that.
Lovely food, a bit expensive but worth it for the food, the service and the attention to detail. I also appreciate the space in the restaurant. The tables are not packed in too closely. I recommend the raspberry sparkle. The toilets were impressively clean and smart.
Really tasty treat pizza. Starters are delicious calamari was spot on. Pizzas are also very good and worth the price point. The restaurant is very clean and staff are also very polite, great service without it being to full on.
Best dishes ever, new menu starting with this week. Really agreeable for families with children and even for dog walkers, as they have outsides seats and the dogs are also welcomed (moreover- they receive a free dog biscuit and fresh bowl of water). Definitely recommend to family and friends and whoever looks to have an amazing view over the lake during their lunch/dinner.
