  1. VIX ★★☆☆☆

I recently visited Curry Leaf with friends, hoping for an authentic Indian dining experience, but we left thoroughly disappointed. We ordered two dishes expecting traditional Indian flavors, but what we received was far from it. The dishes were chicken and paneer on a bed of rice with spinach, tomatoes, and other ingredients that did not resemble Indian cuisine at all. I specifically requested extra spicy food, but it was barely mild, which was quite frustrating. The service was decent; the waitstaff were sweet and attentive. However, the ambience was lackluster—not quite what I'd call inviting, though it had a somewhat cozy feel. Overall, the food tasted alright but was nothing exceptional. If you're looking for genuine Indian food, this isn't the place. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

Delicious food served quickly and with friendly staff. The food here is delicious. The lunch thali was excellent. Really great flavours with some great dips and sides. Chicken curry was a lot more delicate in flavour. The paneer was amazing - similar to a butter chicken in taste.

My partner and I are visiting Brighton and decided to have dinner here. We couldn’t have found a better restaurant! The food was amazing, they catered very well for vegans and the staff were lovely. Highly recommend visiting.

Fantastic atmosphere, food and service. The curry leaf cafe made an impact immediately with all the beautiful colours and artwork. The waiting staff were excellent and very attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the paneer zafrani thali and the festive tandoori platter. The chicken tikka was the best I've ever tasted, extremely tender and packed full of flavour. The venison and pork were also delicious. All the dishes of the thali were exceptional, we particularly enjoyed the vegetable pakoras and the daal. Probably the best pakoras we've eaten. I will definitely be returning, great vibes food and value for money.

It was really comfortable dining experience. Portions were very generous and the food is quite light/ healthy compared to most Indian restaurants. Not much oily feel which is a good thumb. While it might not be the most authentic Indian restaurant, my family and I really enjoyed the thali set, chicken and naan. Set menu was decent priced and I felt good, so recommended

Amazing, everything about this place is perfect. I used to work in India and the food is about as authentic as it gets, as well as being indulgently delicious. I usually get the chef's special platter (pictured) and everything about it is sublime. The pork just falls off the bone, the chicken is spiced and cooked to perfection, and the amount of food you get is more than satisfactory - in fact, I usually end up getting a doggy bag to enjoy the leftovers the next day. Service is great with attentive and friendly staff, the decor is a cute, cosy sort of shabby chic, and there's a good range of craft beers available to complement your meal.

Delicious creatively done fusion South Indian food. The place is nice and bright, the best ones are at the entrance, and by the front window! The combos/thalis are the best and a good selection of drinks to go. The evening menu is mostly a la carte and I wish they served the combos all through the day!
