   Booked a table online for Sunday lunch and travelling for Burwash East Sussex to meet a good friend we arrived before the booking time at 1.55 pm to find it was closed now I had got an email confirmation that my booking was confirmed and a reminder. This is the second time we have been for food and not eaten there yet. Not really sure what is going on but I think the new owner need to change the online reservation system as I will not be going there anymore. We could hear people talking inside but curtains closed and no answer when trying the door. Very frustrating and a wasted journey for us both as my friend also travelled a long way.

   Visited 30/10/25 This is a little pub not too far from Seven Sisters Country Park. We visited for lunch and the service was very good. The staff were very friendly especially the waiter, even though the pub is quite small and quiet it was still a very enjoyable experience. The chairs were comfortable with the tables being decent sized too. There were a few times I questioned the hygiene of the glasses I was drinking out of, and considering that the restaurant has a 3 stat food hygiene rating at time of writing this. That could be a possible concern. The menu is limited and prices are a bit high but considering it's a small pub that needs to make a living it can be understood. But the food itself was delicious. It took maybe 15 minutes for the food to be served after ordering it and considering we were the only ones in the restaurant, that wait could shoot up if there were many people or you had a bigger group. Definitely worth a visit

   I absolutely love this pub! The food, service, and building are all fantastic. It’s dog friendly, which is a big plus, and the staff are always so warm and welcoming. Everything here is amazing—I honestly can’t fault it. ❤️❤️

   We came for Sunday lunch after looking up on line for a day out . I ordered a large Malbec but they only had enough for a medium, we ordered duck pate and Stilton mushrooms but they only had the mushrooms so my partner had prawn cocktail instead which was underwhelming. We both had pork asked for apple sauce but they had none . The food we had was well cooked medium portion. The pub was empty which was a shame . The staff were helpful and attentive.

   Fabulous local pub. 5 of us and 2 dogs and sat in beer garden. Service was fab and very welcoming. Food was delicious and freshly made and well presented. Guys regularly checked if everything was ok and if we needed anything. Would 100% return if I go the Newhaven again

   A beautiful pub in NewHaven, a bit raucous due to a charity event, the roast dinner was just amazing the best I've ever had, the staff ever so polite and offering good service, this would be my Sunday place if I were living in NewHaven, I never give 5 stars but this so deserves it. Well done team.
