I feel bad about this but this is one of the slowest Chinese restaurants I've ever experienced (and I lived in China for 15 years). Expect to wait 20-30 mins whether you eat in, get delivery or collection. Today was the last straw - we were told 25 mins on the phone and when I arrived 30 mins after ordering they said it will be another 20 mins! 50 mins for two portions of noodles?! If you do successfully get food out of this place, it's pretty good (by British standards). If you eat in the atmosphere is pretty dead. I would go to Prithi Raj over the road for atmosphere, or New China (also over the road) for reasonable waiting times. Sorry to dump on a small business, but for your prices you should really consider getting in more chefs and sorting out the waiting time.

We were a party of 20 people eating in. The staff coped very well with the huge variety of dishes that were ordered. The food was delicious and all the staff did a great job. Thanks everyone!

I just got my takeaway today it was just awful The chips were just like crispy oil. The food was no better. I had lemon chicken which was like water and we had black bean chicken and that was no better. Will not return there It all went into the bin Would not recommend

Please do not order from this restaurant / takeaway. I ordered from them today and ordered Thai green chicken curry along with other items. I dished up my food and went to eat this but thankfully I cut into a piece of chicken before I did as I saw that this was pink and raw. I ordered through just eat where the rating was good however wish I had checked google reviews first because clearly there are numerous issues with this restaurant but this could’ve been even worse if I had eaten anything. I just wish I hadn’t given the food back so this could be given to someone in food standards. Photos attached

Collection takeaway, listed as 30min wait but ended up waiting 1h 20m. Food was fine but the wait was silly, walked in twice told be told it will be another 10min wait each time...

The food was of poor quality I'm afraid to say. The rice tasted off and the thai main dish was watery. The egg rice tasted like it had been reheated and looked brown. I wouldn't order from here again.

Absolutely vile!!! Do not waste your money here. The prawns were rock hard and the batter around them was crunchy and stale. Clearly just been sat there for ages and the lamb in the curry some bits were jelly fat and others were rock hard. The lady on the phone had absolutely no clue and she sounded about 12. She didnt even know what a trades button was. Please do not waste your money here.

Food has gone downhill recently. Orders are always wrong but cost is going through the roof. Sad because they were fab for ages but not anymore. The photo below is supposed to be bean sprout chow mien but is quite obviously Singapore chow mein and was so hot I couldn’t eat it. Update: So today 16/09/22 we thought we’d give this place a seconds chance. Big mistake, order was wrong and very very greasy. Ordered special fried rice and got pork chow mein. Bye bye Forbidden palace, never again.

Honestly worst salt and pepper squid ever tasted. Way too much salt snd pepper, initially pleased it was crispy but was so crispy they killed it. Should have read the other reviews before ordering. 100% disgusting, could only just stomach 3 small pieces, same for my boyfriends portion too - waste of £15
