Had a takeaway to sit out with the dogs, though dogs are welcome inside. Really good fresh cooked chips, fish bites were generous and cooked nice.

Here right now now Chips under cooked - almost like greasy grey mash Rissole was nuked to the point it was half the size same as the sausage - felt like I was the BFG . Larger (pints) was flat Peas looked like raisins. Wouldn’t have minded so much but when the waitress asked if our food was alright and we mentioned the chips she just walked off. Considering this is a traditional chippy it’s less than average and very expensive.

Had been to Aberavon 4 years ago and visited Francos then. We revisited this time and it didn't dissapoint at all. Lovely location and the food and staff is fab! Enjoyed a lunch and breakfast. The squids and fish bites were super crispy and scrumptious. The breakfast was great and we enjoyed The Franco(full english) and Waffles and pancakes as well as the milkshakes and coffees.

Young courteous staff, clean environment and good food. Have yourself a nice meal with a view of the waves The service was spot on, allowing time ro look at menus, but not wait to be served. Food arrived in what felt like 5 minutes. Tables were cleared and offers of desert were well timed. On future visits to Aberavon, I will definitely be goin there again.

We enjoyed a nice visit to Franco's restaurant. Half the restaurant is dog friendly and the other half is no dogs aloud. The coffee was nice. They actually know the difference between Cappuccino and Latte her. The tea was nice also. We had bangers and mash with peas and gravy. Very enjoyable. Nice, clean facilities. We'll be back.

Superb fish and chips, never been here before, but I am planning a return very soon, charming waiting staff very chatty and polite. The fish was about 10 inches long and cooked fresh, it stayed piping hot until the last bite. Only thing that surprised me was they had a dessert menu..anyone who could eat a dessert after the main meal must be an animal.

Very friendly staff and a great selection of food including Veggie options. Located on the beach front gives for some beautiful views, especially when dining in the evening. Small menu for 4 legged friend as well including sausages. (Photo: chips, mushy peas and battered halloumi)

Lovely setting on the beach front, I went for the curry which was OK - could have done with some more flavours as it didn't really taste as described on the menu. Chips are divine! However, the apple and blackberry crumble was delicious and the staff were very accommodating and welcoming.
