“Been coming to this cinema for a fairly long time and it's one of my favourites, tickets are priced at a reasonable £6.99 and the four hours free parking is a big bonus. Practically all of the fixtures and fittings inside are from when it was an Apollo cinema, which is actually a great thing for nostalgia since there was never anything wrong with those fixtures and fittings in the first place. Swansea is only 20mins away, and yes it does have an Odeon and a Vue, but you'll also find a very good cinematic experience here too, the only branch of Reel in all of Wales (second nearest is all the way over in Chippenham - Reel, please open more Welsh venues!). Give it a try for a trip to the pictures. And it's right by Aberavon Beach on the seafront too! Hooray!”

“Had a brilliant stay welcomed by Sharon on our first night, made us feel really welcome and told us where our nice clean room was, really comfortable beds and a good first night sleep. Second night Sharon went above and beyond for us and got us some plates and cutlery so we could eat our dinner, was really helpful and super friendly, will be back, mostly because of the service we received from Sharon! :)”

Ordered a pizza and changed the toppings a bit, but ended up receiving a different pizza - called the store to let them know and it was no trouble at all for them to remake the order and send it back out to us pronto even though they were super busy. “Absolutely love this place. Been waiting to try it for ages as it’s often fully booked. Food was top notch and service very helpful. Will definitely go again to try some of the other items on the menu. I can recommend the Brian Griffin Burger and the Hey You Guys Fries. Not to mention the Millionaire Shortbread milkshake. Other half had a pint of Electric Boogaloo IPA which helped cut through the food. Ordering at the table with QR code was relatively simple and good if you are a regular. Not having been before meant we needed some assistance with our options, but that was quickly forthcoming. Food came out like lightning too and hardly any wait although we were the first ones in that evening. Also the food was hot, not lukewarm which I really liked. Careful if you are on a low sodium diet though. Maybe worth bringing this up with the chef before ordering. Outstanding Food and good music. Can’t wait for them to open in Swansea.”

“Amazing service and food by Tori and Matt. 4 of us visited midweek (Pre-booked) and downstairs was full on arrival. Tori font of house welcomed us and informed us they were short staffed tonight so apologised and said there will be some delays but thet are working as fast as they can. We were fine and in no rush anyhow. However we found the service time and food arrival to be fine so we had no issues. The quality of the food was amazing and considering they were short staffed this did not reflect on it at all. All 4 of us had amazing food and one of our more particular eaters polished his plate off. Wine was great and the whole evening was fantastic. It’s one of those places you will definitely return to as they menu variations have more than enough choice to make you want to try the rest of the food. A great little gem in Port Talbot that you must try”

From the moment we stepped in, the service was exceptional—warm, friendly, and genuinely hospitable. The atmosphere was buzzing yet relaxed, and their dog-friendly policy made us feel even more welcome. The beer garden by the river is the perfect place to unwind and take it all in. We were lucky to visit during the final week of their current menu. For starters, we had the vegan fishcake served with garlic mayo and tomato salsa—unbelievably realistic and delicious—alongside perfectly seasoned meatless meatballs on toasted focaccia. Our mains - The stuffed butternut squash came with creamy lentils and new potatoes, while the plant-based Tuscan chicken was a showstopper. The sauce was so divine we couldn’t resist ordering extra bread just to savour every last drop. To finish, we enjoyed a vegan crème brûlée that was both impressive and indulgent—a flawless end to an incredible meal. We left full, happy, and already planning our return to explore their new menu. If you're looking for phenomenal plant-based food in a welcoming setting, The Brit is absolutely worth the visit. Bonus points for the wagging tails they welcome too!”
