“The menu is packed with vegan and gluten-free options, each dish bursting with creativity and flavour, all at a very reasonable price. From the moment we stepped in, the service was exceptional—warm, friendly, and genuinely hospitable. The atmosphere was buzzing yet relaxed, and their dog-friendly policy made us feel even more welcome. The beer garden by the river is the perfect place to unwind and take it all in. We were lucky to visit during the final week of their current menu. For starters, we had the vegan fishcake served with garlic mayo and tomato salsa—unbelievably realistic and delicious—alongside perfectly seasoned meatless meatballs on toasted focaccia. Our mains - The stuffed butternut squash came with creamy lentils and new potatoes, while the plant-based Tuscan chicken was a showstopper. The sauce was so divine we couldn’t resist ordering extra bread just to savour every last drop. To finish, we enjoyed a vegan crème brûlée that was both impressive and indulgent—a flawless end to an incredible meal. We left full, happy, and already planning our return to explore their new menu. If you're looking for phenomenal plant-based food in a welcoming setting, The Brit is absolutely worth the visit. Bonus points for the wagging tails they welcome too!”

“Had an absolutely wonderful experience here today, the staff were so helpful and polite, I was with my 8 week old baby and they offered me shelter to feed my baby and made me feel very comfortable to breast feed which is rare these days. We will definitely be coming back here again, lovely atmosphere and staff.”

“I treated my husband to Sunday lunch today at The Twelve Knights. I have to say we were not disappointed. The Sunday lunch was excellent value for money (he had roast beef and I had spinach tart). The portion sizes are extremely generous. We both agreed that the mashed potato was the best we have eaten in years. We will definitely be back.”

Food was very tasty and served in good time. Staff were fab, even putting a candle in Dad's dessert and singing happy birthday.”

“Having recently gone for a Sunday carvery (which was lovely), we decided to booked the Margam Deer for a Saturday night family meal. As on the previous visit, the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The only downside was they had a singer on, halfway through our meal, which we were not expecting. No complaints with her as such, she was good, but the audio system was exceptionally loud. This made conversation impossible, which was unfortunate as we had arranged the night out as a family catchup. But overall, the food and service was excellent. Would definitely return again.”
