My daughter and I are regular customers at the Bryncoch, visiting at least 3–4 times a week. My daughter has provided her ID on many occasions over the years—so often that most staff recognise her and no longer ask for it. This evening, a member of staff asked for ID which was a new face to us, we found out she was the manager. She refused to serve my daughter which is absolutely fair as they did not know her. However, she was then served by other staff members who did know her and had previously checked her ID multiple times. A manager then approached my daughter and spoke to her in a very patronising and humiliating manner, as though she were a child. The manager raised her voice, saying “I already told you,” loud enough for surrounding customers to hear, and took the drink away from her in front of everyone. My daughter asked for a refund, which was initially refused. It was only after she mentioned leaving a review that the manager reluctantly refunded half of what she had paid. Following this, a male member of staff stood watching me eat every mouthful of my food and drink, accusing my daughter of drinking my drinks. She was not. I have never felt so harassed or uncomfortable while paying for and eating a meal. When I challenged the manager about the way she had spoken to and publicly humiliated my daughter, the behaviour continued. Other customers who know us commented on the situation as we were leaving, having clearly heard what was said. We were eventually asked to leave due to continued accusations that my daughter was drinking alcohol, despite this not being the case. While I fully understand and support ID checks—especially when staff do not know a customer—shame on the staff who have failed to ask for ID consistently over the past three years. This situation was handled extremely poorly, with a complete lack of professionalism, respect, and discretion.

We have just had a wake at The Bryncoch Inn, in memory of our mother. Natalie, the manager, was very kind and accomodating, suggesting additional little touches, to personalise the event. Kiera organised things for us on the day, and our modest party was made welcome and comfortable in the conservatory. We all enjoyed a hot meal on Friday lunchtime. Keira took our orders at the table, and service was swift and efficient. The food was good, hot and well presented. Staff were friendly and efficient. All in all, excellent service and value for money. Many thanks to Natalie, Kiera and the team for looking after us so well. Dawn Smith, Michael Sterry & family

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here! Felt very welcomed by our servers Kim and Holly who were excellent especially as we visited at such a busy time. Will definitely return again.

Advice to book a table can get busy, free parking behind the restaurant. Service at the bar. Variety of dishes. Clean toilets also staff was friendly. Nice welcome. Do have an outdoor for food and drinks. Family friendly. Even better Monday to Friday deals on 2 meals for under £13.00. open for breakfast also.

We had our wedding party here the past weekend just gone. Natalie and the team was absolutely amazing, so very kind and welcoming. Nothing was to much trouble, the decor was absolutely beautiful and it looked amazing. I would recommend to anyone looking for a smaller party function to get in touch with Natalie, when emailing my ideas nothing was to much trouble and she welcomed anything I said on board! The team really made it the perfect day for us - thank you so much!! From Megan & Darryl ❤️

Visited here for the first time last week and was pleasantly surprised. We came at lunch time and had two meals for £10, which was good value considering the quality and portion size of the food. Drinks seemed pretty well priced as well. Overall happy with the experience and will be paying them another visit

First off the food was fantastic, steaks are really done well to request i'e a good rare when you ask for it Instead of a medium rare. The calamari was a great starter with very generous portions, however the bar can be very busy at times but it's to be expected in a family style pub all around a worthwhile visit

The sort of pub where you know what you're going to get, at a good price. I often go with a large number of people and if we all order within 5/10 minutes of eachother, all the meals come out together which is great. I know a lot of places will treat them all as individual tickets. Good prices, good options, nice atmosphere for a casual meal.

A Saturday afternoon with not a full restaurant. We were welcomed to most tables with dirty plates on. Our table which was reserved was stinking. It had sticky ice-cream all over it and mashed in chips on the seats. The menus have not been cleaned in weeks, they were covered in sticky stuff and even hair and food stuck to them. The whole place was absolutely disgusting. The toilets welcomed you with the smell of urine and it was also all over the toilet seats and floor. The food was also disappointing although it was cheap. The bar ran out of napkins so was placing folded blue roll on the tables. The whole place needs shutting down for a few days and a deep clean needed urgently. It is very run down. Management really need to get a grip on standards Before someone is ill from this place. I will never return.

Very polite staff. Good food. Steaks were delish! Good prices and kids meals were nice. Our first time there and we loved it. We didn't book and found a table, most were reserved but they were very friendly and genuinely seemed pleased to have our custom. We had steaks, one serloin and one rump cooked medium rare. And three kids meals which was the mini mixed grill. Great value for money and piping hot. Steaks were so tasty.
