   Had a wonderful meal on a busy Saturday evening. The place was busy, simply because the restaurant was very small with a ground floor and upstairs dining room. They managed to squeeze us in for an 8.30pm sitting which worked out just fine. Had the chicken wings for starters, followed by chicken pad Thai and Red prawn curry and jasmine rice. Was delicious, service was warm and friendly. The separate dinner plates are served hot, which was a nice touch as well. Chose this restaurant as seemed to have the best reviews and food photos out of all the other Thai restaurants, and was not disappointed. Even when we left the restaurant was still full, must be very popular, so recommend booking ahead to get a table. Will surely come again, when next in Norwich. Thank you!

   The lady owner at one point had her phone on loud speaker near customers while sitting in restaurant so not good, hence 4 star instead of 5, however the restaurant was small and intimate and very nice, the food was lovely and her young staff were immaculate and very professional.

   Thai Lanna, 24 Bridewell Alley, Norwich NR2 offers delicious Thai food, even better than Mango-T in the same area. Food are fresh so it is tastful. Highly recommended.

   I’m very aware that this review will get a quick response from staff because they respond to all the negative reviews. Good tactic there, the same when they told us that there was nothing wrong when we were paying our bill (in full, through gritted teeth). We should have known this place didn’t deserve the recommendation we had heard when we saw the 40 page menu. The food came out about 3 minutes after we ordered… that’s why Thai restaurants go to Iceland. The tofu satay was 4 sticks of unseasoned Hampshire chalk with no more than 20ml of satay sauce. The pad Thai was a ridiculously small portion… come on! It costs nothing to cook! 20 minutes after walking in we were paying a £27 bill (tofu, pad Thai, two beers - £4 each for 330ml) Can’t knock the business plan though, apparently they get “fully booked” selling microwave meals.
