Excellent chip shop friendly staff, good portion size and good service. Only one complaint they need to put rissole's back on the online orders, can't order them on line but available in shop when you arrive at the shop.
We were starving after a drive from Pembroke Dock. Saw this place on our diversion via the Mumbles. Brilliantly fresh, well cooked fish, great chips, and friendky staff. Note that you'll need cash though, and if driving, parking can be a bit tricky. Highly recommended.
I can’t fault our local fish shop. Always tidy, friendly and as quick as fresh food can be. Without fail the large chips are large! And the fish is cooked perfectly. The older lady behind the counter always puts in a healthy serving of fish. If she feels one fish isn’t up to size she rectifies this. The gent that owns this fish shop cares about his service and product. We are lucky to have a good shop as our local chipy.
Just been here only to be told I was a nightmare customer by lady behind the till as I asked for gluten free as advertised as available on request, I personally cancelled my food order but continued with my husband’s order she re literate to another customer as I pointed out I had been over charged see told you she is nightmare customer!! Cannot provide what they are advertising and obviously feel it is ok to overcharge customers very rude customer service will not be going here again … made to feel ashamed of my coeliac disease dietary needs clearly do not respect people’s custom and feel it is ok to false advertise
Ordered for collection and was charged via their online app. Arrived to find the shop closed. I know it’s New Years Day, but what kind of unprofessional operation doesn’t update collection slots when they are closed. Very poor and I’m potentially out of pocket as money was taken.
If I can rate it less I would. I ordered at 20.45 and was a treat for myself. 11.14 and no sign of food. Won’t refund do it being “on the way” unless they’re delivering from Newport or England then I don’t think it’s turning up. £25 I spent with a ridiculous price of 4.50 for delivery. I wouldn’t go here ever again. There are much more nicer Chinese around there.
Lovely little takeaway, amazing that they do both original fish and chip shop fare and Chinese food. Great for if your party can't decide what they want to eat or if you like to make your own fusion food! Can recommend combining to make your own black bean beef loaded chips.
Food was cold and soggy, only thing that was warm was the chips. Second time iv had bad food from there now. Haven't ordered for about 6 months due to the first time so definitely won't order again.
Ordered food for delivery, it was over an hour late! When it arrived the order was wrong, we phoned and was laughed at by the woman, a bloke came on the phone and said he had to wait for the boss to come in to sort it, really?? We ordered on the app and have proof that what we recieved was wrong. We will not be ordering from here again!! Would rate it a minus if I had the option.
I write reviews when I feel there's something to say and for China Kitchen/ Killay chip shop, it's been a long time coming. I've dined there lately and it's been first class. Portions, menu choice, presentation, cleanliness & customer service. Under new management and highly recommended.
