Had the gammon and chips, as it gluten free for husband and it was Amazing!!! It's normally a boring option with small portions but not this! The were crispy, the gammon was plentiful and it came with peas and salad. Large portions that my hubby had to finish for me. Give this lovely place a try and you will not regret it.

It's such a shame as I was looking forward to treating my partner to breakfast as Marine Gardens is our favourite place to go to. The staff was so friendly and the decor was fab...but the food let it down..the breakfast was awful .we both had a veggie options ..the eggs were broken and the dried up mushrooms were splattered over the eggs ...the veggie sausage was cold as well as the beans ...I thought it couldn't get any worse but the toast was hard as rock..I think the chef/cook needs to up his game!

A Gem Worth Discovering Rarely does one encounter an establishment that so effortlessly combines simplicity with excellence. From the moment I arrived, it was evident that this restaurant values both substance and subtlety. The coffeeβrich, smooth, and expertly brewedβwas nothing short of exceptional. It possessed that elusive balance: bold enough to awaken the senses, yet refined enough to savour slowly. Clearly, someone here understands the science of extraction and the art of flavour. Service was another highlight. Attentive without being intrusive, the staff conducted themselves with quiet confidence and genuine warmth. It's a rare pleasure to be looked after by people who anticipate needs before they're voiced. Equally impressive was the cleanlinessβevery surface gleamed, every corner maintained to a near-clinical standard, yet the atmosphere remained inviting rather than sterile. Cleanliness, when so well executed, becomes part of the dining experience itself. The location, too, deserves mention. Tranquil, almost meditative, it provided a welcome pause from the usual clatter of daily life. It's the kind of place where thoughts can breathe and conversations can flow without interruption. In short, this is not just a restaurantβitβs a masterclass in how calm, quality, and care can elevate the ordinary into something memorable. I shall return

Fish and chips were delicious. They have cider on tap too!

I went here last week and didn't really like it. Not much variety of sandwiches was quite expensive, and the staff were standing around watching you eat! Asked a member of staff for some ice as the cans were warm, but they didn't have any! The tables were sticky!! The grounds are lovely and well kept.

Nice, airy venue, with great range of vegan options. We enjoyed the vegan lasagne & fiery bean chilli with fries. Will definitely come back to try the vegan Sunday roast

I love it there but on a bank holiday it was heaving and a cue nearly to the end to order food. But once done it was lovely as always

Lovely big bright cafe in a park that overlooks the bowling green. Lots of choice on the menu, we were just in time for the breakfast The breakfast looked really nice I had the sausage muffin which wasn't the best... It was a square sausage rather than normal sausages and had been over cooked so was really dry.... Next time I'll try something else You queue to order then sit down an they bring the food to your table, staff were really nice and helpful

Very enjoyable lunch sat outside in the sunshine watching the game taking place on the bowling green. Service was excellent and staff were brilliant. I recommend the Luxury Brockwurst hotdog with bacon, cheese sauce and fried onions. Really enjoyed it.
