Lovely food and service. First time here. But very nice well worth a visit. We had a large number so was a little slow between courses which was expected.
Great Ambiance with elegant food... Worth the value.. Decent portions ..cooked in olive oil which is very healthy... Best part of the restaurant is that they prepare food from scratch unlike other restaurants heating up ready to eats in microwave and charging plenty of money The last but not the least, the Service was impeccable... We had 3 courses here. The other half said his steak was on point but should be for the price. I enjoyed what I had but nothing spectacular for me. I had the smoked chicken and mango salad which should have been called celery and cucumber salad with chicken and mango. It was nice but won't be frequenting here.
The horse and jockey will forever be one of my favourite places in Bedfordshire. The sea food is outstanding and the staff never fail to make me smile. Will recommend to everyone ❤️
Great place for a meal with a group !! Very busy inside with a great atmosphere and warm feeling. All the food was really well made, especially the octopus which I never thought I would order but I took the chance and it was delicious.
We loved the variety of fish dishes available, quite different from most Pubs that focus on meat dishes. The halibut with gnocchi was particularly outstanding. The wine selection is also good as were the desert (panacota) and starters (squid rings with sweet chili sauce). Fair price for the quality.
Improving on every visit. The owners are really making great changes and really pushing the boundaries. Great environment and the food is amazing!

Great food, nice atmosphere and attentive service The pie for 2 is so flavoursome, but every meal I've had has been a great fiest for the tastebuds. And always a warm welcome.
