“If you are looking for a Sunday lunch with a choice of meat or veg options, giant yorkshires, crispy roast potatoes, plenty of gravy cauliflower cheese and a great selection of veg….this is your place. I have visited corner 5 many times for lunch and dinner, today on a Sunday and I am devastated I have missed out on so many Sundays now I’ve been once. It was delicious. And we were treated to some very skilled wake boarders doing tricks too.”

“I first went here in 1977. And it became my go to place. Keema peas Vindaloo hot, Tarka daal, 2 chapattis and one rice. All I had to do was call and they wouldn't even wait for the order and just say 15 minutes and throw in half a pint of lager if I had to wait!! Of course I introduced a lot of people to eat here. Some still do. I live in California now....but this is still my must visit restaurant if I am in Bedford. Good food and good memories.”

“I have had the pleasure of eating at the restaurant with my son and kids and it was really nice, the food itself is great my son loved his pizza and so did I. The staff are lovely and very hospitable, the price is also not bad at all. I definitely recommend it. Ps, They made an error on my order, I got in contact with them and they quickly corrected and it was a home delivery. I am pleased with their service for sure.”

“Amazing food. One of my favourites. Stuff nandos, this is proper authentic Portuguese peri peri chicken. I usually have peri peri, but if you can't stand the spice I recommend medium, so tasty and doesn't blow your tonsils off You must try”

“Can get very busy at the weekend. Check the facebook page for different themed events. Saturday 10-2pm typically is Pokémon time, where an army of kids trade and buy cards. They have a good selection of drinks and custom milkshakes. Aswell as food menu items. Good for kids and adults of all ages. Ps: they also have a free board game area with a wide selection of board games to play for free. (But also buy).”

“Went to the Four Pears for a business lunch yesterday and had an amazing steak! It was cooked to perfection and the only problem was I wanted more! I had to leave for a meeting but the person I was with had a sticky toffee pudding that he said was divine. Definitely go here if you haven’t already.”

“A group of 8 of us thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas lunch this afternoon. The hospitality was second to none. There was one person who stood out for me, unfortunately I didn’t get his name. He was extremely professional and had funny banter with us. It made our afternoon. So thank you so much. Kudos to the chefs, also, who cooked the best festive 3 course meal. “We went to the Kings Arms to celebrate my daughter's birthday. My husband and I had never visited before; however, it is local to my daughter and her partner and they had highly recommended the food and cocktails. We all had a fabulous meal and delightful cocktails. I always choose a salad, if it is interesting and different, not just lettuce, cucumber and tomato. This did not disappoint, especially with the addition of two sea bass fillets. We left feeling extremely happy and very full, we will definitely return, thank you! ☺️”

Would have been 5 stars for atmosphere if music had been quieter when sat down and if we didn't have to keep asking for it to be turned down, but after it was, the atmosphere was great (5 stars). We were particularly impressed with Jasmine, our waitress. Such a sweet, caring lady, she was very attentive to us and couldn't be more helpful! Nothing was too much trouble tor her, and she was very friendly, patient and cheerful and kept checking everything was ok. It made our visit very pleasurable and wanting to come back again.”

“Got a takeout while staying at centre parcs; we phoned at 5.30pm for a takeout collection at 6pm for 16 people… they were super friendly and managed our order brilliantly. Food was great too and they threw in a good discount and some freebies like chillies, wine and beer.”

“Over 2 years ago, we got married at this location. The day was perfect. The staff were helpful throughout the planning process and the day itself went without issue. 2 years later, we came back, now with our son, for our 2 year Anniversary. Again, the staff were extremely professional, the food was worth more than what they charged, and, to help us celebrate, some items were made free for us. I cannot say just how amazing every aspect of the Woodland Manor Hotel is and the staff are amazing”
