   My wife and I her plus her two sisters visited Woodland Manor Hotel for the first time last night for their New Year's Eve Masquerade Dinner Dance - we didn't take up the option of booking a room as we live reasonably local. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience: the food (pre ordered from a set menu) was good (reasonable portion sizes, hot, tasty), the event was well organised and the service was excellent. Feel sure that we will return again during 2026.

   Over 2 years ago, we got married at this location. The day was perfect. The staff were helpful throughout the planning process and the day itself went without issue. 2 years later, we came back, now with our son, for our 2 year Anniversary. Again, the staff were extremely professional, the food was worth more than what they charged, and, to help us celebrate, some items were made free for us. I cannot say just how amazing every aspect of the Woodland Manor Hotel is and the staff are amazing

   Where do I start, we had a 50th birthday party on Saturday the 8th November 2025. From the planning to the actual day was exceptional. The staff were very welcoming, they had great smiles, exceeded our expectations, their customer service was really exceptionally on point even when faced with a stressful situation, they turned it around and made it look so seamless. The staff worked well together as a team to make sure it was flawless and it really was. As busy as they were , they mingled with guests making sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. They themselves were having fun as they served. It was so good to see and every single guest could not stop singing their praises and I was just blown away with their professionalism and hands on system, they were just on point. The venue, the event staff, the chef, and everyone working at woodland manor is everyone's dream event venue with their lovely and kind hearted staff. So on behalf of the celebrant, her family, the entire guests and the event coordinator & decorator we say a massive thank you to woodland manor and their staff for making the day and event a memorable and enjoyable one. Once again many thanks to you all.

   Woodland Manor hosted a surprise party for my husband's 65th birthday, they were so accommodating and helpful to set everything in place and continued to serve us beautifully throughout. The Autograph Room didn't need much decorating, it was lovely! The food was piping hot and swiftly served to my guests, it was very tasty and nicely presented. The bedrooms could do with a bit of maintenance here and there but the beds were very comfy. No issue with the central heating...lovely and toasty rooms! The breakfast could be a bit smarter but overall was enjoyed by most. The hotel was so cosy, with warm and friendly staff, in a beautiful secluded location. Full marks all round!

   Not what I expected. Had to wait 5 mins before being seen to. Alergy advice was ignored for afternoon tea. Staff didn't know what ingredients were in one of the cakes so they said they will get a menu but this never showed up. Won't be going back here. The room for the afternoon tea was a small room creamed with tables.

   Fabulous wedding venue, with a lovely country setting - have very much enjoyed flowering up for my clients here - including adorning the staircase with naturally beautiful meadow flowers.    The staff were very good. Friendly very helpful. Unfortunately the afternoon tee was not the best. Sandwiches were a little crispy around the edges, ,scone were extremely hard ( we had to ask for others but what came our wre just as hard) and the other cakes a disappointment. It could be so much nicer. I would suggest soft scones and perhaps some colour on the top tier. A macaroon and a fruit tartlet would of been so much more appealing then a ginger cake and a crumbling beige tray bake. I would also of expected cream and jam to be served in little ramekins ( not the pre packaged ones )

   Stayed for one night after attending a work Christmas party event. The room was clean, tidy and well presented. It was also away from the disco so nice and quiet. Only negatives were it was very dark with the only ceiling light was by the door (room was L shaped so main part of the room was dark). There also wasn't a mirror in the bedroom, only the bathroom which was a small square one - a full length mirror somewhere would have been nice. Staff on check in and out were friendly and the food was good. Although, the presentation of dessert was poor.

   What can i say , the staff are very helpful and do everything possible and are apologetic , big thank you to the manager and bar staff and waiters , They are very professional . Food is however over priced , £14 for a chicken with 4 .5 potatoes, if that wasn't bad enough the chicken was raw , surely it can't really be that hard . Simply disappointing . On the plus side the room is very nice , clean and warm Only the one star for food . I hope the breakfast is better.
