The service was shocking; waited well over an hour for our food, which, to be honest, was not worth the wait. Would not recommend at all. We would have had a pudding and a coffee, but the wait was just too long, and having had a first and main course, wasn't sure the chef would have been up to it!

A Wonderful Sunday Lunch Experience We had a truly lovely Sunday lunch today, complete with a delicious trio of meats, beautifully cooked vegetables, and a bottomless jug of rich, tasty gravy. Everything was served hot, well-presented, and absolutely delicious. A special shout-out to the bar person who first greeted us and served our drinks (sorry we didn’t catch your name!)you made us feel very welcome and took the time to chat with us, which really added a personal touch. We’d also like to give a big thank you to Sienna, who was an absolute credit to the team. She was polite, friendly, and incredibly efficient. Nothing was too much trouble, and she managed every table with the same warmth and professionalism. It’s so nice to see young people getting the recognition they deserve and Sienna certainly deserves it. Thank you for a great experience, we’ll definitely be back!

3 booked in for lunch. We had filled flatbread + chips for £10. Big plates of food and very tasty. The staff were delightful. There were other people in the pub that we knew and they had really enjoyed their meals too and we all said we'd happily return (for pudding, another day as we're all full this time). Will definitely recommend Star & Garter to others and certainly wish them every success.

Homely little pub tastefully decorated We were greeted by Helen who was lovely, attentive and served us throughout our meal. We had 3 drinks in total The menu very not vast but had a good selection from nibbles to desserts all at a good price. We ordered nibbles x 3 . Plentiful on the plate like it was a starter. Tasty. My wife ordered fish and chips . Far too many chips on the plate that spoilt the meal, fish was cooked from frozen and meat was wet and tasty like it should be. I had steak pie ,nicely cooked, mash was stodgy. Gravy made up for that! Overall lovely pub, we would come again with our dogs as they are very welcomed too! Give them a go!

The food was very good and at a very fair price. The portions were about the right size too. Rather busy on a Saturday evening with several tables occupied as well as a good crowd in the bar. Good humour among the staff and a good experience all round.

Very locally pub. More pub than restaurant. Parking available out the front, but also drive down the side of the pub to parking out the back. Pool table. Slot machine. Limited menu's on a Sunday but roasts available. Very fast service. With a bit of a tidy up this could be a very nice pub.
