“Enjoyed a delicious dinner at the newly refurbished Merlin’s Tandoori this evening. The new owners and team were very welcoming and the service was great. We had the poppadom basket to start, then enjoyed a Goan fish curry, Chef Mothers Chicken, mushroom rice, mango coconut naan and onion bhaji. The food was very flavoursome and the spice was true to the spice guide! Thoroughly recommend the Goan fish curry which was stunning. Thank you team.”

“This is a very small and cozy family restaurant, where we had a great dinner. There is a good selection of dishes at very reasonable prices and it is delicious. Very tasty! Here you can taste real Romanian dishes, very well-cooked meat. There is also a very friendly staff and fast service, we came to the restaurant hungry, asked to bring food quickly and received it in a few minutes.”

“Love this place! The food is amazing: freshly prepared and cooked, awesome quality ingredients-doubt you'd find a better quality fry up anywhere else locally, epic portion sizes too! The decor is truly unique. From Only Fools and Horses quotes and pictures to old hats, guitars and vinyls up on the walls. You'll struggle to not spot something new each time you visit. The staff are always friendly and helpful. All in all, my favourite way to start the weekend is a Jester's breakfast!”

There were other people in the pub that we knew and they had really enjoyed their meals too and we all said we'd happily return (for pudding, another day as we're all full this time). “Amazing food, been in Northampton now for just over a year and struggled to find a decent takeaway that we enjoyed, however with here it was great . I had a Adana kofte which was perfectly seasoned but also had great portions . My partner had the vegetarian mousakka and was also delighted. Furthermore when the order arrived the delivery driver was very kind and polite , overall fantastic experience and great food , definitely will be ordering from here again and trying the restaurant post covid.”

“First time trying food here for lunch - it was so good!! Had the tuna/ cheese melt panini and thick chips and my husband had the vegetarian pizza - both were really good! Lots of tuna in the melt and the chips were smothered in cheese! Would definitely recommend!!!”

“What a little gem. We weren't quite sure how to take this place from the outside when we arrived but it appeared recently refurbished and the Sunday Roast was truly wonderful. We had a great meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the meal. It was a very pleasing find. A point for improvement would be to get baby changing facilities. But it is a challenge in an old style of pub. We would revisit for sure. Thank you.”
