Service was very poor, took over 45 mins for an overcooked Sunday lunch to arrive. Got my own menus after 15 minutes and tried to order but was told there was two tables that needed cleaning and resetting before our order could be taken! Not really good enough chicken breast had bones in it and when I raised the issues of waiting (all the other parties experienced the same issues and most had to wait longer just for starters). Am a regular here and that was well below the normal standard.

The food was fabulous. The service excellent when available. Unfortunately the entire restaurant came to a standstill, because we were reliant on just one waitress. She was brilliant, but was run ragged. (There was a large booking of about 12 people plus 5 other small table midday bookings). Seriously understaffed. Such a shame. Took the edge off an otherwise perfect score.

Three of us came for a friend's birthday. It was our first meal here. Gentleman at the bar friendly, and also helpful with meal ingredients. Lady who served us very pleasant and helpful. Fish, scampi and Mediterranean tart for the 3 main meals, all beautifully cooked and presented. Homemade bread and butter pudding with custard was wonderful. Thank you for a lovely evening.

We visited The Griffin Inn at New Year for the tasting menu which was incredible. The food was amazing with interesting combinations and great quality ingredients, I would recommend to anyone!! The paired wines where a great choice, though my only comment is it would have been good to have them avaliable to order another glass of as some were so very nice we wanted another☺️! It was a great evening all round with friendly staff, wonderful food and a lovely atmosphere.

A typical English pub nestled in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside. A select daily menu with a well priced senior citizens 3 course choice but lots of specials on the boards. Food was decent and the vegetables were freshly cooked and crunchy. Service was passable. Tied it once and ticked a box but I will provably venture elsewhere next time.

Old fashioned pub. Great atmosphere. Top quality ale at great prices. Staff couldn't be nicer. Had food in bar, never left a thing. Dogs welcome in bar. There is also a restaurant. Recommended for families. Can't wait to re-visit.

We went here for some much needed sustenance after a heavy night prior lol and they were really friendly and accommodating, and the food was delish! Would recommend- although be mindful of the pretty small car park! And they can't deviate from the sunday menu
