   I went in hoping to find a velvet shawl, but ended up falling for a gorgeous, embellished sweater on the mannequin instead. The saleswoman Lorraine, she immediately noticed my interest in the sweater and helped me find the right size. She was so friendly and easy to chat with, and the whole place had such a lovely, relaxed feel — the shop was just delightful. I didn’t get the shoes I tried, but I left with the sweater and shawl and couldn’t be happier. I’ll definitely pop back in again.

   I recently travelled from Canada to the UK for my sister-in-law's wedding. I brought a frock with me but wasn't entirely pleased with the fit. On a whim, I popped into Hobbs, Brighton, on a 'just in case I see something' basis. Well, thank goodness for Lorraine. In the end, I threw myself on her mercy: "Please help!" Having lost my shopping 'eye' some time ago, I asked Lorraine to suggest some things for me and ended up trying on quite a few different dresses, jackets and so on. Including things I would not have picked out for myself. Lorraine displayed the patience of a saint and, when I asked her for it, gave me her honest opinion about what looked best. In the end, it came down to two options (both gorgeous and very flattering). I um'd and ah'd until I remembered that the joy of being a menopausal woman - who can't make a decision and has long since forgotten how to shop - is that I could afford to buy both. Many thanks to Lorraine, and her lovely colleague whose name I didn't get, for such friendly kindness and expert advice.

   I was shopping for a dress for my son’s wedding. The staff were so very friendly, honest and helpful. I bought the most beautiful dress and hat that fitted absolutely perfectly. I would like to thank them so much for their time and effort. The dress and hat are so comfortable to wear and just what I was looking for.

   I cannot thank Tracy enough for the help she gave me when my husband and I visited the store to choose presents for my birthday. Nothing was too much trouble. She was full of helpful suggestions. We ended up buying eight items, all gorgeous, well-made, and a great fit. I love this shop!!!

   Lovely clothes but the customer service is appaulling! I am still chasing them for a refund as my dress was cancelled in March 2022 which I paid upfront in the brighton shop. Its been ping pong back & forth from head office to the shop. The tall blonde who spoke to me told me 'I couldnt care less what you do, it won't affect me one way or the other'! I just wanted my £149 back, but she was adamant to get me out the shop but realised police thrests did not work. So I have got the bank involved as I paid by credit card. Phoning head office is a waste of time, I have tried and worked in hobbs finance but give in my notice 3 years ago. Ill never shop there again.
