   Visited on Sunday for a quiet drink, which turned into a 2 course meal after we saw the food coming out of the kitchen. Starters arrived quickly with generous portions. Duck Parfait starter was very nice, and the mushroom on toast was a good choice. My partner ordered the burger, and i went for a sunday turkey roast, both of which were delicious, generously sized and served quickly. Total for 2 courses each and a few drinks came to just over £70, which we felt was reasonable. Would definitely visit again.

   Absolutely amazing weekend at the Dog and Doublet. A warm welcome and friendly staff. We had our dog with us and the staff were amazing with him. Food was lovely. Our room was lovely and even a bed and bowl for the Dog with a snack bowl for him. We will be back again. Thank you for an amazing experience.

   Came here for Sunday dinner as had been years ago and was excellent. The table we were allocated rocked so had to ask for an extra serviette to pop under a leg to resolve the issue myself. Service was prompt and the food came quickly. I do not think the food is up to the same standard, the meat was thin and tough and the roasted potatoes were very roasted, hard to cut. Not sure if I will return as did not live up to how I remembered it. And having to pay extra for Yorkshire puddings now on some dishes.

   We have been there for a meal tonight. I ordered the fish and chips my partner ordered the steak pie. When the food came we both were shocked as we have had a few meals here a couple of years ago and were very good. I asked my partner if we should just leave it and go somewhere else as you could hardly get your folk in the chips as they were that hard and I must add they were frozen and not fresh potatoe chips. My fish was just greasy batter not one member of staff asked if our meals were ok. And when we decided we could not eat what we had tried to the waitress asked was everything ok and I asked to speak to the manager who came and was clearly not qualified as a manager at all. We highly recommend driving past this place.

   A large group of us had a wonderful meal at the Dog and Doublet, while staying at a local Airb&b. We were treated excellently, by friendly, helpful and very attentive staff. Our food was delicious and came quickly, high quality and worth the money. Definitely recommended.

   Fantastic place, lovely inside and out. We had afternoon tea, the classics and alternatives for our Mothers Day meal. So tasty and so much food. The alternative is a great option for those who don't fancy cake and want a more savoury option with 3 craft ales (1/3 each). Paying the bill at the end was a bit of a faff as no one was around but soon sorted it. Really enjoyed it.

   Absolutely loved this place. Our bedroom was massive and spotless. Great, powerful shower. We had a lovely meal in the evening, and the food was amazing. Staff were wonderful and friendly. Breakfast the following morning was enormous and delicious. We will definitely be back.

   Went with my wife and my whippet for lunch on boxing day. The food was excellent, the building itself is very nicely appointed and comfortable. They catered perfectly for our dog and put us in a perfect spot. Now the staff! Brilliant is the first thing that comes to mind. Very eff and most importantly made us feel welcome and comfortable. Lovely people who made our experience special. Many thanks and we will be back soon.
